Camera & lighting for food industry

Stemmer Imaging has boosted its portfolio of products for use in the food industry with the addition of a wide range of camera and lighting housings. Available in food grade materials, housings compatible with FDA regulated washdown applications are also available.

The housings are manufactured in 316 stainless steel by the Allison Park Group Inc, and are available in versions capable of supporting more than 40 industrial vision cameras and a variety of lenses and illumination sources. Enclosures have been carefully designed to reduce pockets where moisture could accumulate, while providing easy access to the camera and lens to make mounting, positioning, focusing, alignment and servicing as simple as possible. Camera lenses can be adjusted close to the viewport to reduce reflections.

Standard cable glands on the enclosures use a split insert to provide a watertight seal around one or more cables. The gland allows passage of the standard I/O and power cable (and an Ethernet cable) without removal of the connectors from the cables. Each housing is highly configurable, with air cooling and air curtain faceplate options and a choice of window materials. An optional 3 axis (pan, tilt, roll) mounting provides even greater flexibility for camera alignment.
