Enclosure and component agreement

Anglia Components has signed a new Britain and Ireland distribution agreement with CamdenBoss covering its full range of enclosures, interconnect and components. Under the agreement, Anglia will be able to offer customers CamdenBoss custom enclosures based on the company’s zero-NRE Flat Sheet Plastic Technology (FSPT) process, and will stock a profile of standard enclosures, interconnect, fuses, fuse holders and other emech components.

According to David Pearson, Technical Director of Anglia, “The addition of CamdenBoss gives Anglia access to a range of cost-effective, quality enclosures that can be readily adapted to suit a whole range of prototype and low/mid volume manufacturing applications. We’re particularly excited about the CamdenBoss FSPT range which allows customers the benefit of a fully customised enclosure made to their exact design specification without any tooling charges or lead-times. Now any application in any volume can be housed in a case made specifically for the customer’s purpose.”

CamdenBoss offers a huge range of plastic and die-cast housings for electronic applications. Of particular interest is its Flat Sheet Plastic fabrication technology, a process which resembles sheet metal fabrication and allows the production of plastic enclosures from CAD drawings without the need to set up costly tooling. CamdenBoss can produce high quality housings to a customers’ exact design in terms of size, shape, colour and other attributes and can do this cost-effectively in small quantities for prototype and low to medium volume production runs. If volumes subsequently increase, CamdenBoss can use the same CAD drawings to produce tooling that will allow an identical moulded enclosure to be manufactured. Anglia will offer its customers FSPT custom enclosures, and will also carry a strong stock profile of the CamdenBoss enclosure ranges. This will include standard, hand-held, heavy-duty, sealed, desktop, potting and DIN-rail enclosures.
