RDP Electronics Ltd can recommend and supply Linear Variable Displacement Transducers (LVDTs) suitable for measuring deflections of structures during blast testing.

Typically used for determining deflection of walls, wall panels and metal structures, RDP long stroke transducers, with small additional protection and with support for the armature against side forces, have proved suitably robust to withstand repeated testing of blast structures. LVDTs are usually mounted within an outer tube which covers the exterior of the body. Similarly installed, LVDTs have also proved their worth in recoil testing, particularly testing of large projectile launchers in various applications.
