WWEM 2010 to feature UKTI ‘Meet the Buyer’ event

The organisers of WWEM 2010, the world’s largest environmental monitoring event, have announced the involvement of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and a number of other leading industry organisations at this year’s event.

The UKTI, along with British Water, The Institute of Water, The Council of Gas Detection and Environmental Monitoring (CoGDEM) and Sensors for Water Interest Group (SWIG) will all be participating at WWEM 2010 on 10th and 11th November at the Telford International Centre (GB).

Other organisations involved include PROFIBUS, the Water Monitoring Association (WMA) and the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).

The UKTI will supply experts from around Europe who are taking part in two key activities that will support an international dimension to the show. These include a ‘Meet the International Buyer Event’, where exhibitors will have access to 24 buyers from across Europe and a workshop titled ‘Developing Your International Business’.

UKTI Commercial Officers will also advise on a range of topics including political/economic overview for countries including Portugal, Turkey and Russia, niche sector opportunities and advice on market entry.

David Connolly, Environment & Water Team Project Manager for Europe at UKTI, said: “Our events will give visitors the unique opportunity to receive a one-to-one briefing from UKTI, covering political, economic and water industry specific opportunities. Delegates will also be able to learn about the wide range of planned UKTI activities both here and overseas that aim to help promote UK expertise overseas and assist companies in taking advantage of the opportunities these markets offer.”

The event will also see a host of Conference presentations providing information on the latest regulations affecting process and effluent monitoring with authoritative speakers from the Environment Agency, ABB, SIRA, and UKAS.
