Cost-efficient optical inspection system for automated conformal coat inspection and more
GOEPEL electronic offers an enhanced version of its system for the automated optical inspection of fluorescing conformal coating. The TOM system (Teachable Optical Measurement) may be used for inspection of PCB coatings as well as PCB areas, which mustn’t be coated. The maximum PCB size is 460 X 400 mm.
Because of its modular design, the system can be adjusted to specific test requirements. The range of possible standard camera configurations extends from one to multiple camera configurations (1 Megapixel to 5 Megapixel), as colour or black/white variant. Various illuminations for the visible and UV ranges (conformal coating) are available.
In addition to conformal coating inspection, the TOM In-Line system can be utilized, e.g. for component presence, selective solder joint inspection, display and LED check as well as colour recognition and optical character reading.
The intuitive TOM-Line software enables a very simple and convenient test program generation without prior programming knowledge. A respective user interface is available for combined optical and electric test via JTAG/Boundary Scan.
The integration of camera, illumination and software into customised system is also possible.
