A new YouTube video published by Autoscribe, provides a practical demonstration of the ease of configuration of the Matrix Gemini LIMS. Since each individual laboratory is a little different from its nearest equivalent and often vastly different from laboratories in different industries, Matrix Gemini’s unique OneTime™ configuration tools provide the flexibility to ensure that customers are not forced into a particular system design. These versatile configuration tools offer a ‘drag and drop’ approach to build a personalised user interface with no impact on the underlying core code.
Edited from a series of webinars run by Autoscribe, this new video illustrates how new screens, new workflows and new interfaces to custom tables can be designed simply and easily. The video shows the steps involved starting from the basic aspects of form design for screens, such as adding text fields, dropdowns, calculation fields etc, and builds up to the creation of a custom table. Global indexing of all fields ensures that if a field name is changed it is automatically updated across all screens containing that field.
The tools can be used to configure any screen in the system, allowing, for example, unique workflows to be created for each user or groups of users. Every change to a screen is automatically audited for version control, ensuring that it is possible to revert back to any earlier version, if required. Should any additional help be required, screens can also be saved and e-mailed to Autoscribe help desks for modifications, before being returned and incorporated into the system.
