For hygienic pressure measurement, Baumer offers the electrical pressure transmitter ED701. It is especially suitable for applications in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries as well as in medical technology. The measuring device features high accuracy and long-term stability. It is available with several Clamp and hygienic process connections.
The piezo-resistive pressure transmitter ED701 with its stainless-steel diaphragm is based on a silicon sensor designed for high precision over a wide temperature range. This ensures that the pressure transmitter offers very high accuracy (up to 0.1 % F.S.) and excellent long-term stability (0.1 % per year). If required the zero point can be recalibrated using a simple mechanical adjustment. The measuring range can also be programmed, which allows for adaptation to the customer-specific application.
With a large range of process connections and several output signal options (4…20mA, 0…10VDC, 0…5VDC), the ED701 is suitable for a great variety of applications. In order to reduce the surface roughness, the process connections can be electro-polished. For use with aggressive media, the ED701 can be provided with a pressure connection in Hastelloy C. For applications with oxygen, the device is available with a process connection cleaned of oil and grease.
The standard oil filling is FDA-approved white oil suitable for temperatures from -10 °C up to 125 °C and used for pressure measuring in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industry. Other available options include halocarbon oil and silicon oil, which are suitable for applications with temperatures of up to 300 °C.
