Building on its worldwide reputation for high precision sensors, Kistler Instruments has developed a range of value for money sensors aimed specifically at manufacturing, production and quality assurance applications.
The latest new product is the Type 4520A contactless, low maintenance torque sensor at around the same price as slip-ring types, typically less than £1,500 (€1670 ca). Using non-contact signal transmission eliminates wear making the new sensor exceptionally robust and maintenance free, even in continuous use.
Ten models are available with rated torque from 1 to 1,000 Nm each with class 0.5 accuracy at speeds up to 10,000 rpm. Output is the standard ±10 V plus a speed signal of 60 pulses/rev and a remotely switchable 100% test function.
The new Kistler torque sensor range is ideal for static and dynamic torque measurement in production, quality control and research and development applications.
