Rugged TFT display

High brightness and high contrast for harsh environments

Hitachi Display Products Group (DPG) have announced the latest addition to its growing range of Rugged+ TFT display modules. The new 7.0” TX18D35VM0AAB is designed and manufactured to function in challenging and harsh environmental conditions. IPS (in-plane-switching) TFT technology provides exceptional colour saturation, colour stability, contrast and black levels with a 170° wide vertical and horizontal viewing angle.

The 15:9 wide aspect ratio TX18D35VM0AAB features WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels). The display implements a LED backlight which provides a brightness of 800cd/m² and a half brightness lifetime of 70K hours. A contrast ratio of 600:1 ensures display images are clear, concise and easily viewed.

The ruggedized 7.0” TFT features an industry standard 40-pin, 6-bit RGB, CMOS interface which enables a colour palette of up to 262K colours. The display module has dimensions of 165.0mm (w) x 104.0mm (h) x 12.8mm (d) and an operating temperature range of -30°C and +80°C.

Hitachi recently announced the new line-up of Rugged+ TFT LCD display modules which are specifically intended for use in extreme environment applications. The entire range of Rugged+ displays feature industrial environment operating specifications with high brightness, long-life LED backlights and will provide dependable operation between -30°C and +80°C. Hitachi's Rugged+ TFT displays are designed for high reliability medical, marine, aerospace, automotive and industrial applications.
