Enlarged connector housing for high-current applications

The Han® HPR range of industrial connector housings from Harting now includes a enlarged version which makes it possible to assemble the 4-pole version of the Han® HC Modular 250 high-current contact system to the Han® HPR size 16 B as well as the previous size 24B.

This configuration, which involves new contact holding frames and a new Han® 16 HPR enlarged hood and bulkhead mounting housing, allows high-current applications with a rated current of 250 A and a rated voltage of 2000 V with up to four contacts to be realised in a compact design. In spite of its compact size, the "enlarged" housing version provides plenty of room for cabling.

The new Han® 16 HPR enlarged housings have the same features as the established and reliable Han® HPR housing series. The hood has four M25 cable entries. The new housings are fitted with the usual screw locking system and fulfil the IP 68 protection requirements of the IEC 60529 standard in the locked position.
