Outdoor Cabinet Installations made easy

Rittal's pre-cast concrete base/plinths for their range of outdoor free-standing enclosures have been developed to simplify installation and eliminate the need to pour concrete on site.
Manufactured from a specially developed light, untreated concrete, the units are 1M high when assembled and ideally fit a 700mm deep excavation. The front and rear plinths are screw fastened from inside and can be quickly and easily fitted together in situ.

For installations in remote locations, where delivery or mixing of fresh concrete is difficult, the pre-cast units, supplied in sections, can be installed in a trench or hole, around the cable ducts, and then back-filled with the soil from the hole and tamped firm. Outdoor enclosures, from Rittal’s stock or custom ranges can then be lowered either directly onto the concrete plinth, or attached via an additional plinth, depending on the model and application.

Even in less remote locations, Rittals pre-cast concrete base/plinths can save time, reduce material and delivery costs and provide an extremely practical solution, requiring a minimum of material to finish or restore the surface around the enclosure on completion of the installation.
