Harting's family of Han® industrial connectors are now equipped with RFID transponders, enabling specific data on the connector configuration to be linked with factory IT systems to aid processes such as the ordering of spare parts.
Han® connector systems offer users optimum protection against external physical influences. This is made possible by the use of materials and seals that are UV and ozone resistant and which function over a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
Impermeability to moisture, humidity, dust and dirt is also assured throughout the connectors' useful life, with both connectors and RFID transponders designed to meet the requirements of IP 65/67 on moisture protection. Like the connector housings, all the components will withstand harsh environmental conditions, high temperature fluctuations at extreme levels as well as the use of corrosive liquids such as cleaning chemicals or oils.
The integration of RFID transponders into the rectangular Han® connectors allows the development and use of the full range of identification data and its integration into business database structures, including the ordering of spare parts, all in a convenient, quick and reliable manner.
