Harting has added a slimline M12 connector to its har-speed product family for the 8-wire gigabit Ethernet application environment.
The new har-speed M12 slim design with crimp connection technology is significantly smaller in both diameter and length than the standard version. The external diameter has been cut back to 16.5 mm, allowing designers to achieve high integration density when the connector is used on devices such as industrial Ethernet switches. The design also has a considerably more robust housing than the standard product, being capable of resisting torques greater than 1.5 Nm.
The connector is designed to conform to IEC 61076-2-109, and meets Cat.6A and performance class EA.
