A new ultra-thin 10.1-inch IPS TFT display panel designed for industrial and commercial applications is available from Inelco Hunter. The display is just 1.1mm thick, with a maximum overall thickness of 6.6mm, including the frame. By comparison, conventional TFT display modules typically have a screen thickness of 1.7mm to 3.0mm or more.
The display is ideal for applications where installation space is limited, including compact home automation controllers, portable medical equipment, handheld industrial instruments, and other space-constrained embedded systems. The 10.1-inch panel features IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, providing excellent colour accuracy, wide viewing angles, and consistent image quality. IPS technology aligns the liquid crystal molecules parallel to the display surface, enabling more efficient light transmission and superior viewing performance.
The resolution is 1200 x 1920 RGB pixels with 450 nits brightness (450 cd/m2) and a full viewing angle, normally black. The display has MIPI interface. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) is 20,000 (25°C, IF=80mA). The operating temperature is -20°C to +70°C and the drive IC is a IL79600A-XA (or compatible IC). The panel has overall dimensions of 248mm x 166mm.
