Programmable power

Programmable power supplies provide 1700 watts in 1U height

Ametek Programmable Power has introduced a higher power version of their high density 1U rack height programmable power supply. The Sorensen XG1700 is available in 12 different models with maximum output voltages up to 600 volts and currents up to 220 amps.

The new Sorensen XG1700 series offers the highest power level currently available in a 1U full rack casing. Front ventilation ensures that units can be stacked at full density without the need for ventilation spaces above or below.

High frequency, soft switching technology is used to provide low output noise coupled with high power efficiency. The technology also minimises the stress on the switching devices thus providing high higher mean time between failure (MTBF).

The 1700 watts of output power can be provided in both constant voltage and constant current modes, and special fold-back modes can be selected if required. Bus controlled auxiliary output voltages are available for switching connection relays or for other switching requirements.

The Sorensen XG series comes as standard with USB 2.0, RS-232, RS-485 and non-isolated analogue interfaces to provide a comprehensive set of options to connect to a PC or other network device. Isolated analogue, LXI compliant Ethernet and GPIB interfaces are available as options

The Sorensen XG series is exclusively available in Great Britain from TTid.
