The Wessling facility

The expanded facility consolidates Emerson’s European Rosemount product distribution and provides a single point of contact for orders across Europe.
“Having a single point of contact for orders and a single distribution hub will make working with Emerson more efficient and reduce the average delivery time to the customer,” said Richard Heinkel, general manager.
Customers will also benefit from an increasing number of short lead-time products that can be manufactured and shipped from the Wessling factory in 5-7 days. For emergency orders Emerson operates a quick ship service on selected models that can be delivered within 24-72 hours on request.
The Karlstein facility has expanded its focus on sensor and thermowell development, and serves as a global primary production centre for these products. Increasing the manufacturing capability to thermowells will provide a better service level and reduce lead-time for customer-specific solutions.
“Emerson continues to receive requests on technical support for thermowell applications and the strategic investment into thermowell production will increase Emerson’s expertise and strength in this area, giving customers the comfort that Emerson can provide the complete temperature solution,” said Heinkel.
