Air preparation products.

The ASCO Numatics™ 653 Series air preparation products suitable for applications where high-flow-rate is required.

The ASCO Numatics 653 Series of air preparation products are announced by Emerson. Available in 3/4” and 1” port sizes, the 653 Series has a high flow rate for its size. This enables customers to power more products from the same Filter-Regulator or Lubricator (FRL), or reduce pressure drop across the system, both of which enable potential energy and cost savings. The range of the 651, 652 and 653 Series consists of filters, regulators, filter regulators, lubricators, soft starts, quick exhausts, diverter blocks and shut off valves.

“The introduction of our 653 Series greatly expands our global offering of high-flow air preparation products.” said Scott Weickel, Vice President of Engineering for Machine Automation applications at Emerson. “The addition of the new port sizes enables international manufacturers to select a comprehensive range of advanced technology air preparation products in sizes ranging from 1/8 to 1”, all from one supplier. This makes selection and purchasing simpler.”

With the industry’s highest flow characteristics, related to size, the ASCO Numatics 651, 652, and 653 Series are ideal for use in any application that requires high volumes of air or where space is limited. Original equipment manufacturers will benefit from the wide temperature range (-40°C to 80°C), and ATEX and CUTR certification, which enables this product to be used in challenging and harsh environments, and applications such as valve piloting in the process industry. The modular air preparation products have a robust construction and are easy to assemble, mount, and position. New endplate flanges allow the removal of the manifold assembly without disconnecting the piping.

The 651, 652 and 653 Series incorporate front-facing easy-to-read, low-profile gauges. Optional integral red/green pressure range indicators make it easy to monitor the desired pressure. The small footprint and clean lines help achieve robust, modern-looking equipment. Long-lasting laser-etched tags and covers ensure product information will remain visible even in challenging - environments. In addition, an optional 3-micron pleated pre-filter has been added to the line’s coalescing filters and coalescing filter/regulator combination units. This eliminates the need for a separate particulate filter unit and reduces cost, size, and weight.

Zoned Safety Valve Island.

Emerson has introduced the ability to integrate multiple safety zones within a single ASCO Numatics™ Series 503 valve island. This enables the creation of up to three independent electro-pneumatic safety zones, while also allowing independent non-safe sections to co-exist within one valve island assembly.
Alternative solutions enable the isolation of one zone only per island. The zoned safety approach helps the design engineer satisfy the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and comply with ISO 13849-1 while eliminating the components and complexity commonly found in existing safety circuits.

“With this functionality, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and end user can easily and cost-effectively configure up to three safety circuits in a machine using a single ASCO Numatics Series 503 valve island with G3 fieldbus electronics,” said Scott Weickel, Vice President of Engineering for Machine Automation applications at Emerson. “Our simple, user-friendly zoned safety approach reduces components, saves space and improves design flexibility.”

The ASCO Numatics zoned safety valve island ensures the operator does not have to shut down the entire machine by releasing compressed air with a redundant safety/control dump valve. Instead, the valve island can be configured to shut down pilot air and power only to the group of valves that controls the machine’s motion in the operator’s vicinity.

“Because zoned safety capability is designed into the standard ASCO Numatics Series 503 valve island platform, no redesign is required and the user has optimal choices when selecting valve options, accessories, and flow requirements,” said Weickel. “The flexible approach also significantly reduces safety system cost and enables valuable machine space to be saved for other purposes.”

The ASCO Numatics zoned safety valve island has been evaluated by TÜV Rheinland (Report No. 968/FSP 1228.00/16) and is compatible with category 3 PLd.

Seamless integration of pneumatic systems and process control.

The ASCO Numatics 580 CHARMs node enables simple Electronic Marshalling of pneumatic systems

Pneumatic systems are an essential part of many process plants, in industries such as chemical, life science and food & beverage, particularly those where ancillary machines are used. Although an essential part of the process, these machines are often stand-alone and are not connected back to the process control architecture. This could mean that should there be a problem with the machine’s pneumatic systems, it may not be communicated back to the control system, therefore leading to a breakdown of the machine. The plant may then continue to produce products that cannot go on for further processing or packaging.

Current architecture
Process control systems are normally able to accommodate pneumatics systems through the implementation of an additional fieldbus network, such as PROFIBUS-DP® or Modbus® TCP. However, this approach adds complexity through additional configuration and data mapping, and whilst supplementary diagnostics is possible, a second programming environment, with its associated costs, is not desirable and may not easily support communication and power redundancy.

In 2016 Emerson introduced electronic marshalling for pneumatic systems. This solution enables users to easily integrate the ASCO Numatics 580 Series valve islands, with Emerson’s DeltaV control system for a complete Emerson Automation I/O and pneumatics system solution for process plants.

What is Electronic Marshalling?
Control engineers and project managers working on continuous or batch-oriented processing plants will be familiar with the problems associated with commissioning I/O in distributed control systems. The traditional method involves field device connection through multi-cored cabling, wired to terminal blocks in control cabinets, with each connection then manually cross-marshalled to its appropriate I/O card. As system complexity increases and the number of connections accumulates – inevitable I/O changes abound – thus, difficulties arise in keeping track of each and every physical connection in the marshalling panel. Every change adds cost, delays, and most importantly risk to the project. Adding redundancy causes even more headaches. Furthermore, future maintenance and system modification is often made difficult with staff changes and system unfamiliarity, which can adversely affect down-time.

Whilst manual marshalling is still considered adequate for small projects, large-scale batch and continuous processes in areas such as chemical, pharma, and food manufacture - where lost production can result in truly excessive costs - increasingly turns to more risk averse and reliable process system design strategies.

Electronic Marshalling does away with the manual and labour-intensive practise of cross marshalling. The cables from the field are still wired in to the marshalling cabinet, but from there on in the connections to the controllers are handled electronically. It is now possible to map each I/O channel to any controller. Emerson manage this mapping with their CHARMs (CHARacterisation Modules). These are essentially analogue to digital conversion cards that may be characterised to perform any signal function (AI, AO, DI, DO, RTD etc.). They are ‘clicked’ on to CHARM I/O Cards (CIOC), which are in-turn mounted on DIN rail terminal blocks where field wiring is arranged; the field device is identified and the appropriate CHARM card is set up and Electronically Marshalled through a hidden digital bus to ANY controller in the system. Fully redundant power and communications connection is included, and autosensing each I/O channel means that identification, configuration, diagnostics and design changes are easily carried out by the DCS.

The technology provides many benefits, from the first design stages, to commissioning, and through the lifetime of processing oriented manufacture. As digital or analogue I/O of any type can be bound to specific controllers at any stage in the project without manual rewiring, hardware and design costs can be more predictable from the outset. Design changes – adding new I/O or changing I/O types - can be catered for without intensive labour and disruptive re-wiring costs. Projects become easier to scale, safety is assured. Configuration and diagnostics are taken care of by a single integrated software platform – Emerson’s DeltaV Explorer. Importantly the Total Cost of Ownership is significantly reduced, measured by increased operational certainty, process reliability and increased machine availability.

Integrating pneumatic valve islands into automation systems with CHARM technology
The 580 Series CHARMs allows control engineers and project managers working on continuous and batch-oriented manufacturing projects a straightforward, cost saving and fast-track approach to the integration of pneumatic systems within the process control environment. The node facilitates single connection from the field to Emerson’s DeltaV™ DCS offering Electronic Marshalling, native configuration and diagnostics plus built-in redundancy - for a truly integrated system architecture.

With the introduction of ASCO Numatics’ 580 CHARMs node, pneumatic systems’ integration with Electronic Marshalling is made possible within a single network platform – a one package and one supplier solution - for the first time. The 580 CHARMs node directly links to the DeltaV system via the CHARM baseplate and natively combines autosensing and Electronic Marshalling through redundant power and communication connection, harnessing the full native diagnostic capabilities of the DeltaV. From the DCS, each pilot valve is managed in exactly the same way as the other system I/O. The DCS can identify and marshal all the pneumatic connections through a single redundant connection with up to 48 valve solenoid outputs connected to each CHARM node.

The 580 CHARMs node interfaces with ASCO Numatics 500 Series valve islands. These high performance, “plug-in” directional control valves feature the highest flow capability for their product size, helping to keep machine footprints compact and lowering system costs, whilst a comprehensive range of accessories and options makes for easy installation, configuration and modification.

The cost and time benefits of simplified machine architecture
When compared to a manually, cross-marshalled, process manufacturing system for batch and continuous production scenarios, the benefits of a CHARMs technology based solution with Electronic Marshalling are apparent and compelling. When pneumatics require integration, and the solution is compared with the introduction of a fieldbus such as PROFIBUS-DP®, the benefits are even more convincing with the easy-to-use, task-based engineering environment that the DeltaV offers.

The elimination of a secondary network allows substantial savings in components, associated I/O, wiring, and commissioning time. The Emerson single network solution means single point responsibility for products, documentation and support, with savings for personnel, programming resources and system training. Reduced component count and direct connection equals a reduced risk of system failure. Design changes throughout project development and future troubleshooting is made easier with embedded intelligent control with autosensing and plain message workstation diagnostics. Shutdown time is significantly reduced thanks to integral diagnostics directly on the valve island or displayed on the DeltaV systems workstation. Reliable redundant connection ensures safety and reduces maintenance down time. Further compelling benefits include flexibility in process control thanks to every CHARM I/O from voltage and current sensors to alarms and pilot valves sharing the same DeltaV Explorer configuration, and being available in the ‘cloud’ to any controller in the network.

These factors combine for a tightly integrated solution for I/O and pneumatic valve islands that delivers more complete project and operational certainty, comprehensive control optimisation and processing reliability.

HD pneumatic valve island.

A major update to the ASCO Numatics G3 Series electronic valve island platform, enabling a reduction in installation costs has been announced. The valve island has been expanded so that it can control up to 128 solenoid valves on a single valve island assembly. This allows more valves to be controlled from a single node, enabling savings in the number of nodes and the cabling, internal tubing and electrical connections in the cabinet. Customers will benefit when they control a high density of valves or pneumatic equipment in a packaging plant or on a skid.
“The new functionality enables designers to minimise expensive cabinet space and have fewer nodes dedicated to pneumatic valve islands,” said Uwe Claus, Global Vice President Marketing. “Now, designers can place more valves in a single cabinet or use a smaller enclosure to house the same number of valves. In addition, installers will only have to set up and configure one node, saving time and labour cost.”

The expanded valve platforms can support up to 128 11mm solenoid valves and up to 80 18mm and 26mm valves. To increase the valve platforms’ capacity, mid-station blocks were added with valve drivers and auxiliary power connectors. This flexible approach allows customers to pay only for the capacity and functionality required in their design. A wide variety of communication protocols are supported, including Ethernet/IPTM DLR, Profibus® DP, and Valve Sub-bus for distribution.

It is highly recommended that customers use the flexible and powerful online Dynamic Product Modelling (DPM) tool when designing pneumatic valve island installations to save time in design and selection. The DPM tool enables the valve islands to be fully configured. It produces a unique specification for that product and enables a CAD drawing to be downloaded.

“Our new G3 Series platform is ideal for use in life science (pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical), food and beverage, fine chemicals, and water/wastewater applications,” Claus said.

IO-Link® communication option on platform!

The ASCO Numatics 580 Series fieldbus electronics platform has been expanded by Emerson with the introduction of an IO-Link® communication option. For use with the ASCO Numatics 500 Series valve islands, the new IO-Link module will allow machine automation designers a convenient, cost effective and reliable solution for solenoid valve control through direct digital data communication with the machine controller plus the ability for event-based and I/O mapped diagnostics – both important predictive maintenance requirements for Industry 4.0.

The 580 Series IO-Link is compatible with the full range of 501, 502 and 503 Series valve islands which offer from 400 to 1400 l/min flow rates in valve sizes of 11, 18 and 26 mm. Now available with base-plates that allow two pressure sizes to be combined in one convenient assembly, simplifying installation and allowing valve piloting and pneumatic systems from the same island. The modular range offers the market’s highest flow capability for its product size, keeping machine footprints compact and lowering system costs. A comprehensive range of options are available for complete application flexibility.

IO-Link is gaining increased popularity for automation systems, offering an internationally standardised I/O technology (IEC 61131-9) for communication at the sensor/actuator level in machine control. The ASCO Numatics 580 Series IO-Link module offers many advantages such as simple commissioning with unshielded 3-wire comms connection and 4- or 5-pin industry standard M12 connectors for power and communications. In addition to increased machine availability through enhanced diagnostics, further benefits include parameter setting with IO-Link’s integral device description protocol (IODD) plus simple configuration parameter update and uncomplicated component exchange. When used with the 500 Series valve islands and a compatible IO-Link master, a modular distributed I/O topology is easily achieved for up to 32 solenoid outputs per master in addition to third-party sensors, relays and other field level components.

IO-Link is independent of upper level fieldbus systems and is available for almost all major fieldbus protocols available today. This neutrality allows OEM’s to choose their preferred supplier for top-level machine controls - and automation machine upgrade or expansion costs can also be kept to a minimum by using existing PLC controls whilst increasing field level functionality. Programmers can also benefit from IO-Link’s impressive capabilities – I/O mapped diagnostics make for simplified PLC control and event based diagnostics offer cloud processing of the data via a compatible master.

The 580 Series IO-Link is ideally suited to distributed machine architectures where sensors and pneumatic systems are located close to each other and where high reliability digital data communication between field devices and the machine controller is desirable. Applications include but are not restricted to conveying and robotics, pick and place and assembly machines, and all areas of packaging machinery.

Proportional solenoid valve ideal for use in analytical and medical applications.

The proportional Flapper valve complements Emerson’s complete range of ASCO solutions for the AMT industry.

Emerson has unveiled an ASCO 22mm Flapper valve, ideal for use in Analytical and Medical Technology (AMT) applications. The new valve design prioritises separation between the media and the mechanical operator, and combines this with highly accurate proportional flow control so often associated with ASCO products – opening it up to a multitude of application possibilities.

Flapper technology is one of the safest and most reliable solutions on the market for achieving fluid isolation. Not only does it exclude particulate contamination caused by friction of moving parts, it also minimises heat transfer to the media, and even provides protection to the valve itself from harsh media.

The valve ensures further protection of the media quality thanks to its low internal volume plus a self-draining feature, both of which make it very difficult for media to become trapped or stagnate within the product.

“Thanks to our sophisticated fluid isolation technology, our 22mm Flapper valve will provide medical equipment manufacturers with complete confidence in the total hermetic separation of fluid and mechanics.” Said Alain Crampon, AMT Business Development Director for ASCO. “We understand how critical this function is to both them, and ultimately the end user. We also wanted to provide a product that could stand the test of time in these kinds of applications.”

The new proportional valve has a tough PEEK material body that can withstand even the most aggressive media, considerably increasing its life span and ensuring a safe and accurate operation at all times.

It has a pressure range of 0 to 4.5 bar, and a temperature range from 5˚C to +50˚C.

Solenoid valve for extreme conditions.

The existing ASCO 327 Series solenoid valve has now been made suitable for use in temperatures as low as -60°C, considerably increasing its application options for our customers in the process industry.

Formerly suitable for use down to -50°C, this extension to the temperature range results in a reliable solution for Arctic and Polar conditions, which are increasingly common environments in Oil & Gas exploration. This ATEX certified solenoid valve is already a popular solution in the process industry, thanks to its proven high performance and robust construction. It also offers CUTR and IECEx certifications.

This additional feature has been achieved thanks to the inclusion of a Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) seal which provides exceptional temperature resistance. This, in combination with a higher spring force and a power consumption of 5.6/5.7 Watt AC/DC, provides excellent sealing properties and a long life expectancy.

Customers will benefit from the same high performance, long life and safety certifications always promised by the 327 Series, even in Arctic/Polar conditions. The total temperature range of the 327 Series now covers -60˚C up to +90˚C.

The new feature is available on a range of 327 Series valves with a wide selection available via Express Fast Ship delivery.

Solution for complex valve island applications.

Cabinet mounted valve islands now offer simplified installation and maintenance requirements as part of customised solutions for a range of industries

Emerson have unveiled a panel mount adaptor plate for the ASCO Numatics 501 Series of pneumatic valve islands, enabling the valve island to be directly mounted to the cabinet. The 501 Series valve provides the flow of a 15 mm to 20 mm valve in a compact 11 mm size, addressing customer needs for space savings and simplified construction and assembly.

Many of the complicated internal connections found in traditional cabinet solutions are eliminated, and the design is considerably streamlined. This offers customers increased versatility and reduced component complexity when using valve islands and electronics in small spaces, or damp and aggressive environments.

Emerson’s design has the smallest footprint on the market, allowing for assembly possibilities where they would have previously not been possible.

“The 501 Series panel mount adapter plate fulfils our customers’ needs for space savings, easy panel construction and assembly.” said Yannick Guenard, Valve Island Product Manager for ASCO Numatics. “It eliminates the need for complex tubing routing and bulkhead fittings, reduces custom machining and drilling and simplifies panel layout.”

As with traditional cabinet systems, this ASCO Numatics solution is also highly resistant to corrosion thanks to cabinets that are constructed from anodised aluminum or AISI 316L stainless steel for high protection and resistance against regular cleaning from harsh chemicals – very common in applications where hygiene is a top priority.

Designed for easy maintenance, the systems also include an integrated valve shut off accessory to individually isolate any valve in the circuit, allowing for valve maintenance and replacement without shutting down the entire process.

The mounting plate adapter allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users to directly connect the 501 Series valve manifold to a panel in the wall or floor of a cabinet. All panel strength, integrity and certifications are maintained.

“With our space saving cabinet mounted solutions, we have managed to provide a versatile and economic solution that will stand the test of time in these typical environments without compromising on performance. Our cabinet mounted solutions consider the unique requirements of each individual customer,” continued Guenard.

The panel mount adapter plate is ideal for applications in the process industries, for example for food and beverage, pharmaceutical and packaging machinery, plus general machine automation.

Filter-regulator-lubricator.

Easy to install filter-regulator-lubricator offers high flow rate, widest temperature ratings for a broad range of air preparation applications.

The 652 Series filter, regulator, and lubricator (FRL) line of air preparation products is new from ASCO Numatics. This Series features high flow characteristics and the widest high- and low-temperature ratings of any FRL – making it ideal for a broad range of applications.

“With the highest flow rates in the industry, our all-new 652 Series FRL assures original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and maintenance managers that air preparation products from ASCO Numatics will optimise their machine performance.” said Chris Walsh, Sales Manager in Britain for ASCO Numatics. “In addition, the 652 Series’ extended high- and low-temperature capabilities (-40° C to 80° C) allow it to be specified across a broad range of applications, including those within harsh environments.”

These modular FRL products have a robust construction and are easy to assemble, mount, and position. In addition, their new manifold endplate flanges allow the maintenance technician to pull the manifold assembly out of service without disconnecting the piping. The product line is available in three port sizes ranging from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch (NPTF, G, or R threads).

The 652 Series incorporates front-facing easy-to-read, low-profile gauges. It is the only product of its type to also offer these gauges on its shut-off isolation valves and slow-start/quick-exhaust valves. Optional integral pressure range indicators allow the user to easily set the red/green colour indicators to the desired pressure range. The 652 Series not only meets the need for a small footprint, but also results in clean lines and robust, modern-looking equipment.

An optional pressure regulator with reverse flow check permits the design engineer to place the regulator between the valve and cylinder. This allows air to be exhausted back through the regulator without causing damage or reduced life. Additionally, an optional 3-micron pleated pre-filter has been added to the line’s coalescing filters and coalescing filter/regulator combination units. This filter eliminates the need for a separate particulate filter unit, reducing cost, size, and weight.

“Our new air preparation products are the perfect fit for applications in the automotive and tyre, packaging, food and beverage, and process industries requiring high flow, wide temperature characteristics, highly reliable operation, and easy installation and service,” according to Walsh.

Solution for complex valve island apps!

Cabinet mounted valve islands now offer simplified installation and maintenance requirements as part of customised solutions for a range of industries.

Emerson´s design has the smallest footprint on the market, allowing for assembly possibilities where they would have previously not been possible.

"The 501 Series panel mount adapter plate fulfils our customers´ needs for space savings, easy panel construction and assembly." said Yannick Guenard, Valve Island Product Manager for ASCO Numatics. "It eliminates the need for complex tubing routing and bulkhead fittings, reduces custom machining and drilling and simplifies panel layout."

As with traditional cabinet systems, this ASCO Numatics solution is also highly resistant to corrosion thanks to cabinets that are constructed from anodised aluminum or AISI 316L stainless steel for high protection and resistance against regular cleaning from harsh chemicals - very common in applications where hygiene is a top priority.

"With our space saving cabinet mounted solutions, we have managed to provide a versatile and economic solution that will stand the test of time in these typical environments without compromising on performance. Our cabinet mounted solutions consider the unique requirements of each individual customer," said Guenard.

The panel mount adapter plate is ideal for applications in the process industries, for example for food and beverage, pharmaceutical and packaging machinery, plus general machine automation.

Low power proportional valve.

ASCO Numatics, part of Emerson, has a new member in its already successful family of Sentronic proportional valves.

With power consumption rated at <4 watt, Sentronic LP is an energy efficient solution for a wide range of applications, including those in the food and beverage industry, packaging operations, bottle filling and leak testing, and automotive manufacturing operations.

Sentronic LP provides an economical solution for those customers with relatively simple technical requirements, while still maintaining the same high standards of efficiency and reliability associated with the entire ASCO Numatics product line. This new product offers a modular and compact footprint, and is very easy to set up, making it a logical alternative to the more complex control valves currently on the market. It is available in size DN4 (G 1/4) flange mount and inline versions, both of which use a 5-pin M12 connector, and consumes less than 4 watts of power, one of the best ratings in the industry.

Hysteresis is also low at less than 2 percent —while excellent linearity and repeatability levels are maintained. Up to 10 valves can be mounted on a single flange-style mounting plate (opt.), all with the same pressure supply. The product also offers advanced software capabilities with its intelligent DAS software and user definable, password protected control parameters.

Sentronic LP is an efficient, economical option for optimised pressure regulation across a broad range of applications. Despite its small size, it is rated at 470 NI/min flow, and has an adjustable pressure range from 0-3 bar, 0-6 bar or 0-10 bar. Predictable pressure is always delivered, even under demanding flow rates, extended duty cycles, long hold times, and complete loss of electrical power. Safety and high performance is assured with all ASCO Numatics products, and Sentronic LP is no exception.

Filter regulators improve response speed of valve solutions

Stainless steel filter regulators reduce closing time of valves

Ascendant Technologies, a specialist valve automation company serving the British oil and gas sector, has selected filter regulators from ASCO Numatics to help improve the response speed of its valve solutions. By deploying the ASCO Numatics 342 Series of filter regulators, which have a large flow rate, the company is able to meet the needs of its customers by offering a solution with a significantly reduced valve closure time.

Filter regulator flow rates are critical in determining the time required to close a valve. ASCO Numatics ½” stainless steel filter regulators incorporate moulded reinforced diaphragms, which enable a flow rate up to 4430 l/min. Following performance tests, Ascendant Technologies concluded that the ASCO regulator reduced the valve closure time from 11.7 to 7 seconds.

“To meet end user requirements, we needed to improve the response speed of our valve solution,” said Andy McDuff, General Manager, Ascendant Technologies. “We tested a number of filter regulators from different suppliers and the ASCO device outperformed its rivals, helping to significantly reduce the valve closing time.”

For Emergency Shut-Down (ESD) applications the response time of the valve can be critical. If the filter regulator is unable to pass enough air to enable the actuator to close the valve in the specified time, then a booster may need to be fitted. This adds to the overall cost and increases the number of potential leak points.

The Series 342 is suitable for ambient temperatures from -40°C up to +80°C (-50°C for arctic conditions is available on request) and for compressed air and gases. It can therefore be installed across many industries, including chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, refinery, power generation, pulp & paper and process plants.

Energy efficient motorised valves

New motorised valves are compact and lightweight. Suitable for AC or DC operation they have a low power consumption of just 12W.

ASCO Numatics has introduced a range of compact and lightweight motorised valves for applications where electric actuation is required. The new valves are quiet in use and can be operated by a 24V DC power supply or by AC voltages of 24 to 48 and 110 to 250 (50 or 60Hz). The low power design requires just 12W of power during opening/closing, compared with 40 to 50W for similar products.
ASCO Numatics Series 290 motorised valves are rated to IP65 and have stainless steel bodies

Available as G ⅜”, ½” and ¾” body in stainless steel, the motorised valve is suitable for fluid temperatures up to 90°C and is rated to IP65, making it suitable for outdoor use without an enclosure. The angled seat design provides a high flow rate and testing has proved that the valves are reliable for more than one million cycles, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

With a fast response time of less than 2 seconds per cycle (open and close), they do not require a current to maintain position. Low operational power consumption enables cabling and power supplies to be minimised - saving cost and reducing footprint. LED’s indicate the status of the device and these are visible through 360° to aid installation and troubleshooting.

The new valves complement ASCO Numatics’ range of pressure operated valves and share many of their industry proven characteristics. They have many applications in the water treatment industry, wine production plants, industrial heating and cooling systems, car wash equipment and on-board systems for vehicles.
