The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt-T, a 32-port managed Layer 3 Ethernet switch has been announced by Antaira Technologies. This switch brings fibre-dense aggregation, 10G backbone bandwidth, and 100W-per-port PoE++ together in one compact, extended-temperature platform. Designed for distribution points in utilities, water treatment, oil and gas, transportation, and surveillance networks, the switch lets engineers consolidate what typically requires a fibre switch, a PoE switch, and a router into a single ruggedised unit.
The switch is built around how many distribution sites work: most traffic arrives over fibre, while a few nearby devices need serious power over copper. Twenty-four Gigabit SFP slots aggregate noise-immune fibre runs from remote cabinets and enclosures, and four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ slots provide a 10G backbone that keeps uplinks from becoming a bottleneck as camera and sensor counts grow. Four IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ ports deliver up to 100W each, enough to power PTZ cameras with heaters, multi-radio access points, and thin clients without separate power supplies or electricians at the mounting point.
As networks are divided into segments for performance and security, Layer 3 intelligence keeps them connected and resilient: OSPF updates routes automatically as the network changes. VRRP fails over to a backup gateway, so a single hardware fault never blacks out a segment.
ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores ring connectivity in under 50 ms, fast enough that video, SCADA polling, and control traffic continue uninterrupted. VLAN, QoS, and IGMP deliver deterministic performance for critical traffic. 802.1X, HTTPS, SSH, and SSL lock down access. SNMP, RMON, and Modbus TCP bring network health straight into existing management and SCADA tools, all configured through an intuitive web console.
The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt-T operates from -40°C to 75°C without fans or climate-controlled enclosures, and its high EFT and ESD protection and redundant power inputs keep it running through electrical noise, surges, and power loss. The compact IP30 housing saves cabinet space, and front-facing connections let technicians see every port and LED at a glance.
