Energy efficiency, scalability and safety are among the central requirements for modern datacenters. Rittal will be presenting a variety of solutions, such as the Lefdal Mine Datacentre (LMD), at the Datacloud Europe congress in Monaco.
Very high energy efficiency: The Lefdal Mine Datacenter
The datacenter, which runs solely on renewable energies, is located over an area of 120,000 square meters on Norway’s west coast. With the LMD, Rittal offers a unique location – it is one of Europe’s most efficient, cleanest and most secure datacenters. Customers can create their own private cloud from different platforms (SAP Hana as a Service, and HPC as a Service), which they operate themselves or can have run as managed services. Benefits include the scalability of the system, its high energy efficiency, as well as the variety of operating models, from colocation to private cloud and through to DCaaS (Datacenter as a Service).
Quick and easy: Edge datacenters
Visitors to the Rittal stand (39) can also find out about turnkey edge datacenters. The solutions, with their standardised, preconfigured IT infrastructure, can also be used with high availability rooms and so ensure the protection needed against heat, dust and dirt in industrial manufacturing environments. This way, companies can quickly and easily create new IT environments for digital processes in order to adapt their IT to the new challenges.
