BEC Distribution has announced the availability of the new PULS 24V/10A DIN-Rail power supply - the CPS10. It’s raising the bar by using the latest power supply technology and sophisticated thermal design. It’s believed that this is the first time a DIN-Rail power supply of this power level, with single-phase global input and active PFC, has achieved an efficiency of 95%. This unprecedented low level of heat generation made a reduction in width by 35% from 60mm to 39mm possible.
Additionally, the CPS10 features a comprehensive range of features: full performance from -25°C to +60°C without derating; HiccupPLUS sophisticated power management to deliver 20% extra peak power and at the same time protect loads and wiring; and active input inrush current limiter for low input inrush current and a DC-OK signal to monitor the output voltage. The new remote on/off feature makes it simple and convenient to switch the power supply off, saving energy.
Weighing only 600g, the small CPS10 power supplies are exceptionally light, making them particularly suited to rugged applications needing shock and vibration resistance eg rough-terrain vehicles and wind power turbines. For the process machinery market, the products are approved according to ATEX/IECEx standards. A 12V version will follow soon.
