Next generation in Electrical & Control Engineering.

The Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Student Award Ceremony held its Awards Night in early March. The DIT Student Awards Night is a special ceremony which highlights the achievements of the top graduates in engineering fields.

Mitsubishi Electric were delighted to continue to sponsor the ‘David Berber Mitsubishi Electric Award’, named so in memory of the late David Berber, customer, distributor and friend to Mitsubishi Electric. The David Berber Mitsubishi Electric Award is bestowed to the Best Overall Academic Performance in the Final Year of the BEngTech in Electrical & Control Engineering (DT009). This year Christopher P. Dunne received the award.

Ciarán Moody, General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric Ireland, remarked that “these students are the next generation of engineers from Ireland and are capable of taking their place on the world’s stage. We are happy to mark the incredible achievement this award represents and we wish the recipients every success in their engineering careers”.

Mitsubishi Electric also extended its sponsorship to the top grades received in both First and Second year of BEngTech in Electrical & Control Engineering (DT009). Congratulations to Raimonds Kaminskis who received the Best overall Academic performance in the Second Year of the BEngTech in Electrical and Control Engineering (DT009/2) and to James Hutchinson who received Best overall Academic performance in the First Year of the BEngTech in Electrical and Control Engineering (DT009/2).
