Three versions are initially available, offering solutions with 12 or 24 1000BaseT ports and up to four 10GBase-SR fiber ports. All three share the same minuscule size. All meet a wide range of MIL-STD specifications. Customer-specific versions can also be provided.
Support for a broad range of network protocols is delivered by Abaco’s unique, robust, comprehensive and powerful OpenWare™ switch management environment. OpenWare provides integrated management services including configuration, monitoring, switching control, addressing and routing and can be customized to meet specific customer requirements. It supports a comprehensive set of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, providing customers with significant capability to configure their network.
The RES3000 range supports new industry initiatives such as the U.S. Army’s VICTORY (Vehicular Integration for C4ISR/EW Interoperability) program, a systems architecture designed to minimize SWaP-C (size, weight, power and cost), maximize information inter-availability and allow platforms to accept future technologies without the need for significant re-design.
“Abaco Systems has an extensive heritage in, and a broad range of, network solutions such as switches and routers that have been widely deployed in a range of military programs, and these are backed by engineering teams who work closely with our customers to help them anticipate and solve the most challenging network problems,” said Chris Lever, VP, Product Management at Abaco Systems. “The RES3000 family leverages that experience and expertise and brings new levels of price/performance to applications where minimal size, weight and power consumption are vital requirements.”
