Moxa Europe has achieved silver status in the 2025 EcoVadis Sustainability Rating, a recognition awarded to the top 15% of over 150,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis. Moxa received an overall score of 76 out of 100, essentially placing it in the top 7% of all companies assessed globally by EcoVadis. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Moxa’s sustainability journey, as the company progressed from receiving a Committed Badge in 2024 to a Silver Medal in 2025.

EcoVadis provides trusted business ratings for enterprises across over 220 industries and assesses outstanding performance in four sustainability areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This recognition acknowledges Moxa’s effective sustainability management, demonstrated through its policies, actions, and results, as well as a commitment to value-chain transparency.

Compared to its 2024 assessment, Moxa has made substantial advancements this year by enhancing its sustainability efforts through more effective supplier-level actions across all categories evaluated by EcoVadis. Moxa has actively implemented and maintained policies that ensure:

• Ethical Conduct: Refining the Moxa Code of Conduct for operational integrity and a commitment to enhancing the company's information security management system while maintaining compliance with ISO 27001.
• Environmental Sustainability: Emphasising environmental initiatives like carbon inventories and energy-saving initiatives, guided by verified SBTi net-zero targets, alongside dedicated implementation of green product design and sustainable packaging.
• Labour Practices: Developing a human rights policy, conducting human rights due diligence, advocating against the prevention of child and forced labour, and upholding ISO 45001 certification.
• Responsible Supply Chain Management: Developing robust Sustainable Procurement Policy and a Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes environmental and social standards in supplier contracts, driving supplier sustainability risk evaluations, and improving their capabilities.

Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG in Bargteheide has been awarded the EcoVadis gold medal this year. Having scored 78/100 points, the drive manufacturer is part of the top 4% of all globally rated companies while raising its score by 10 points compared to last year.

As an independent family business, NORD has always been standing for a long-term approach, integrity and reliability. These values also influence the sustainability management of our drive systems experts. “The golden EcoVadis award is an impressive testimony to our extensive efforts. Focus on CO_₂e-reduction NORD scored 85/100 points in the “Environment” category, thus achieving the highest individual rating. The rated measures range from use of renewable energies and recovery of waste heat over energy-efficient production up to detailed CO₂e-reports according to Scope 1 to 3.

In the “Ethics” category, the company managed to impress with extensive guidelines and concrete measures such as trainings in corruption prevention, transparent procedures for data protection and established whistleblowing systems. A clear set of values helps guide our actions as a business and builds trust with our employees, partners and customers.

NORD's promotion of fair working conditions positively influenced the final score as well. Compliance with a collective payment agreement or flexible working time models are part of our thriving business culture. We especially emphasise topics such as health, safety and equality through trainings, for example.

Through clear guidelines for sustainable procurement, risk assessments, audits and trainings, the company also integrates suppliers into its sustainability concept. Progress towards sustainable development recognised.

Servomex has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Rating for sustainable business practices for the second year in a row.

Servomex achieved its first Gold Rating in 2022, with EcoVadis recognizing areas including the environmental emergency measures the company has in place, and its specialized treatment and safe disposal of hazardous substances.

Renowned as the leading assessment platform for supplier sustainability, EcoVadis ratings provide insight into a supplier’s Corporate Social Responsibility performance, leading to improvements.

In confirming the rating for 2023, EcoVadis noted how Servomex has maintained its environmental standards and made continued progress towards its Sustainable Development Goals.

Mike Proctor, Director: Sustainability and Strategic NPI at Servomex said: “We are delighted to have improved our overall score by 3%, but with a 20% improvement in the Sustainable Procurement Category. It is also noted the EcoVadis scores are competitive rankings, therefore our improved scores show our relative improvement against strong baseline improvements across all industries.”

The externally assessed accreditation measures environmental, social, and ethical performance, providing customers with confidence that Servomex will support and enable their own sustainability efforts.

It also puts Servomex in the top 5% of all manufacturing companies rated by EcoVadis across the year.

Automation group tops in sustainability.

Endress+Hauser has achieved 76 out of 100 points in the international EcoVadis sustainability rating, four more than in the previous year. The Group achieved a ranking in the top group for the fifth year in a row in 2021 and is now among the top one percent of the companies compared.

Endress+Hauser achieved further improvements in the areas of environment and sustainable procurement. In terms of ethics, labor and human rights, the Group was able to maintain its very good position in the benchmark comparison. As a result, Endress+Hauser entered the top group in terms of results and now achieves a platinum medal after the gold standard – the highest performance level of the EcoVadis audit.

Sustainable corporate culture
The idea of sustainability is deeply rooted at Endress+Hauser. “Comprehensive responsibility is a core value of our corporate culture. As a family business, we want to combine economic success with ecological and social progress,” emphasized CEO Matthias Altendorf. Since 2014, therefore, Endress+Hauser has been producing a sustainability report together with its annual report, which relates ecological, social and economic factors.

The annual EcoVadis audit serves as a key strategic indicator for the sustainability of Endress+Hauser’s development. The goal is continuous improvement in this area as well. “We support our customers in producing sustainably. That’s why we also want to be a leader in terms of the sustainability of our business and production processes,” said CFO Dr Luc Schultheiss.

Continuous improvement
Endress+Hauser’s products, solutions and services help customers in the process industry to use resources efficiently, reduce pollutant emissions, avoid waste and protect the environment. But the company is also continuously improving its own ecological footprint. For example, Endress+Hauser increasingly supplies buildings and infrastructure with sustainably generated energy, and video conferencing reduces travel.

EcoVadis uses 21 criteria from the environmental, social and ethical fields to evaluate companies worldwide in terms of their sustainability. In addition to a sector comparison, companies receive suggestions for improvement. They can also rate their own suppliers accordingly on an internet platform. To date, around 75,000 companies worldwide have been certified by EcoVadis.
