ProComSol has released the HM-RS232-ISO RS232 HART Modem. The modem was recently registered by the HART Communication Foundation (HCF) to meet the HART Protocol Specifications. It is the lowest cost registered RS232 HART modem available to the market.
According to Jeffrey Dobos, President of ProComSol, Ltd, “A registered modem is vital for validating and registering their devices for instrument manufacturers. The HM-RS232-ISO offers users a lower cost choice for their RS232 HART communication needs.”
The HM-RS232-ISO is ready to work right out of the box. No driver to install or configure. The unit is powered through the RS232 port, so no external power supply is required. The modem has the CE mark as well as the HCF Registered mark. Optical isolation protects the PC and user from electrical faults in the process loop.
