Enclosures for Zone 1 Remote I/O solutions.

R. Stahl now provides five standard Zone 1 field enclosures for the IS1+ Remote I/O system. As these STANDARD solutions do away with time consuming specification and planning processes, they can be delivered within just three weeks.

5 STANDARD enclosures for Remote I/O system IS1+    

The AISI 304 stainless steel enclosures with IP65 ingress protection come ready-to-install and include all cable entries, cable ducts, terminals, shielding bars and a hinged lid. Once required IS1+ modules are fitted within, the system is ready for use without any extra inspections or certifications. The STANDARD enclosures meet the requirements of EN 61439.

The choice of five available sizes was based on three decades of experience with customer-specific Remote I/O-system solutions around the world. STANDARD enclosures will cover a wide scope of common application requirements ranging from field installations with 40 analogue or 80 discrete signals to larger volumes with 112 analogue or 224 discrete signals per station. In addition, STANDARD+ offers a number of options to easily extend application possibilities through various individual additions or modifications, all of which only add another week to the delivery time.

These extras range from a front window for the lid, to metal cable entries for armoured cables, to a heater for exposure to extremely low ambient temperatures. Quickly available STANDARD+ options also include models for Zone 2 and redundant systems. Of course, Stahl continues to provide customised systems solutions and tailor-made concepts for explosion protection for all applications where STANDARD or STANDARD+ solutions will not suffice.
