FBGS Technologies GmbH, parent company of FBG International NV, announced on July 10 2015 that its Board of Directors and the majority shareholders of FBGS have chosen Dr. Eric Lindner as the organization's next Chief Executive Officer as of August 1, 2015.

Dr. Lindner, 32, holds a Diplom (MSc) in Physics from the University Jena (Germany). He completed his doctoral thesis (Dr.rer.nat) in “High Temperature Stable Fiber Bragg Gratings” at the Leibniz Institute of Photonics Technology (IPHT) in Jena. During that time, he was also involved in advance research at the University of Sydney (Australia). He joined FBGS in 2008, and has held various leadership positions within the organization. Lindner has been instrumental in driving new developments for the next generation of fiber optic sensing systems.
