The HART® Communication Foundation joins other major industry organizations to host the first Field Communications Lounge (Hall 9, Stand D05) at Hannover Messe 2011 in Hannover, Germany (4-8 Apr). This new display area provides a single location for visitors to learn about field communication technologies and solutions for industrial automation, view educational presentations and visit individual exhibition areas of the sponsoring organizations.
“We are pleased to participate in the Field Communications Lounge which provides industry users with a new educational experience—to see, discuss and compare advantages and applications of the key field communication protocols for automation—in a single location”, says Ron Helson, HART Communication Foundation Executive Director. “The HART display within the Lounge demonstrates the flexibility, power, reliability and cost-savings of automation applications and solutions based on the HART Communication Protocol, including the IEC and EN approved WirelessHART® standard.”
The Field Communication Lounge is sponsored by the HART Communication Foundation, the FDT Group, Fieldbus Foundation, and PI (PROFIBUS and PROFINET International). In a series of 30-minute presentations, representatives from these organizations will present the latest field communication solutions and applications to improve asset management, lower cost and reduce downtime in all phases of the plant life cycle.
In individual exhibition areas, each organization and its member companies will present practical field communications solutions for intelligent field devices, configuration, control and asset management applications, wireless automation, integration products, and more.
“Live and interactive demonstrations in the multi-vendor HART exhibit area show users the power of Getting Connected with HART Communication in both wired and wireless applications to lower costs and improve plant performance,” Helson says.
