Wireless remote monitoring.

The next generation Cellio LoRa long-range low-power wireless transceivers for wide area, long range, end-to-end monitoring and control for agriculture, cold chain, gas distribution, transportation, and many other industrial applications has been announced by Device Solutions.

Cellio is suited for single locations as well extensive enterprise configurations where there may be upwards of millions of sensors and controls connected to equipment across the continent. Partnered with cellular carriers and back-end cloud platforms, sensor instrumentation companies, and technology core companies - full enterprise-level-solution installations can be quick, easily scaled, and very affordable.

Easy to install, the Cellio ecosystem enables companies to gain unprecedented visibility into their operations and assets on a continuous basis. For many companies this means moving from clipboards, paper and pencil to near real-time information of inventories, process parameters, and alert conditions across the enterprise all day every day.

"We have worked with many enterprise solution companies in the past but we have rarely had the privilege to represent a company that truly provides everything needed for a successful enterprise deployment out of the box while also allowing the full spectrum of customization options,” said Jim Friedrich, President and CEO, EnVision Enterprise Solutions. “It’s hard to wrap your head around how extensible the Cellio platform truly is until you see it for yourself.”

Cellio transceivers use LoRa wireless technology (Long Range 915 MHz) to connect sensors and controllers wirelessly to the cloud. The newest generation of Cellio LoRa Transceivers provide:

  • Internal wireless antenna – greater than 1 mile Line of Sight
  • 4-5 years of operation on single 9VDC lithium battery
  • Support for 4-20mA sensors
  • Real time alert/fault detection and notifications
  • Waterproof and dustproof enclosure (IP68)
  • 1-wire sensor support

“Our newest Cellio LoRa Transceiver integrates features and capabilities that our customers have been seeking,” explains Bob Witter, CEO of Device Solutions. “The Cellio ecosystem has expanded to meet the needs of a broadening array of verticals while maintaining a ‘loosely coupled’ architecture to allow for maximum flexibility. We are quite pleased with the feedback we are receiving from the range of companies using Cellio. We feel like we are in the right place in the market at the right time.”

Alliance to revolutionise remote monitoring.

BinMaster and Device Solutions Inc have announced their strategic alliance that will revolutionize remote monitoring with end-to-end solutions for sensor-based networks. The companies have teamed up and designed systems that automate data collection, dissemination, and reporting. Customers across any industry will be able to monitor and manage data from all types of sensors for properties such as level, temperature, moisture, humidity or flow and be alerted when pre-determined thresholds have been met. Other system features include the ability to track assets and automatically optimize routes for delivery vehicles.
The backbone of the system is a wireless communication device based upon the Cellio® IIoT platform developed by Device Solutions that BinMaster will market as BinCom™. Transceivers and gateways send data from sensors to cloud-based application software. The BinMaster BinCom device roadmap will offer a variety of models compatible with Cellular CDMA, Cellular GSM, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet communication platforms. Remote data monitoring can be done via a PC, tablet, or SmartPhone and can be set up to send automated alerts via email or SMS text. Device Solutions has developed flexible dashboards that can be customized by each company, each user within a company, and by the type of sensor data they wish to monitor. BinCom is compatible with a variety of BinMaster sensors or currently installed sensors supplied by BinMaster or another manufacturer. The standard BinCom interfaces include both Analog and Digital and support 0-5VDC, 4-20 mA, dry contacts, Modbus, and RS-485 outputs.

The BinCom data monitoring and asset tracking solutions will be offered by BinMaster as complete systems including sensors, BinCom transceivers, gateways and asset trackers, cloud-based services and other options such as local monitoring consoles. “Customers today just don’t want to buy a sensor, they want a complete turnkey solution that is easy to implement and is extremely affordable,” stated Scott McLain, CEO of BinMaster. “Device Solutions is the perfect partner to round out BinMaster’s robust solutions. BinMaster is entrenched in industries such as agriculture, mining, plastics, food processing, cement, biofuels, chemicals, oil & gas that have complex and demanding supply chains. Teaming up with Device Solutions makes serving their diverse needs possible.”

“We are extremely excited about the opportunities that a BinMaster and Device Solutions partnership brings to reality,” stated Bob Witter, Co-Founder and CEO of Device Solutions. “Pairing BinMaster’s decades of experience and proven portfolio of sensor indicators and control systems with the Device Solutions Cellio Industrial IoT ecosystem, completes an affordable, scalable and reliable end-to-end data collection, analytics, and control solution that is ready for deployment in an amazing number of applications.”

An IoT system for large area wireless networking.

Includes connectivity, hardware, software, and cloud intelligence for asset mapping, supply chain, sales force and inventory management and ROI optimisation

Cellio LoRa is a long-range low-power wireless network system for end-to-end automation and instrumentation in Factories, Farms, Warehouses, Transportation, Agriculture, and many other industries.

Cellio wireless gateways and transceivers use LoRa (Long Range radio, approximately 1 mile) to connect sensors and controllers wirelessly to the network. Gateway devices connect to internal and external networks, the internet, and cloud data systems via CDMA-Cellular, GSM-Cellular, or Wi-Fi 802.11bgn. This low cost and easy to install system enables companies to gain visibility into their operations and assets (sensors, instruments, equipment, location, usage, status, decision making, supply chain, operator indicators, etc.).

Cellio gateways can be used stand-alone or configured with transceivers to optimize architecture, data transmission, and connections. Cellio is suited for single locations as well extensive enterprise configurations where there may be upwards of millions of sensors and controls connected to equipment across the continent. Partnered with cellular carriers, back-end cloud platforms, sensor instrumentation companies, and technology core companies - full enterprise-level-solution installations can be quick, easily scaled, and very affordable.

"As an industrial grade IoT software platform provider, we often find ourselves working with clients to connect their next generation products which can take, in some cases, years to make it to market. The Cellio LoRa System integrates the basic building blocks to an end-to-end IoT solution, dramatically reducing the many technical risks and yet enabling unlimited customization for well-defined problems. Partnering with Device Solutions has changed our dialogue with clients from big picture strategy and technology evaluations to targeted business cases and production rollout - literally applying IoT to solve real world problems, now,” said David Houghton, Director, Bright Wolf, LCC.

The Cellio LoRa family of wireless devices includes three distinct and configurable product options:

1. Gateways - CDMA-Cellular, GSM-Celluar, or Wi-Fi connections to the network utilize a 900MHz LoRa radio to connect a network of transceivers for data capture and control. Each gateway can cover over 3 square miles containing hundreds of widely dispersed transceivers.

2. Transceivers - up to 16 general-purpose inputs/outputs (GPIO) support connecting up to 16 sensors or controls per transceiver. The transceivers use a 900MHz LoRa radio to connect through gateways to the network. Transceivers make the system incredibly flexible and cost competitive.

3. All-in-One Devices - these devices include CDMA-Cellular, GSM-Cellular and/or Wi-Fi radios, the 900MHz LoRa radio, and 16 GPIO's. These are perfect for maximizing tracking, sensing, controlling, and communicating with assets throughout the enterprise.

“Cellio LoRa is essentially a black box to connect most anything to the network and the network to most anything,” explains Bob Witter, CEO and Founder of Device Solutions. “Driven by customer requests, Cellio is sensor and controller agnostic as well as back-end data hosting/cloud agnostic. This allows maximum flexibility on costing and configuration for enterprises of all shapes and sizes.”
