Automation partnership agreement for Canada

ACM Facility Safety and Autopro Automation Consultants have established an integration partnership agreement focused on providing real-time risk visualization solutions to process industries in Canada. The partnership is designed to deploy SafeGuard Sentinel software, a solution that allows users to monitor their process safety risks in real-time, and provide Risk Performance Indicators (RPIs), equipping management to proactively track process safety performance without incidents.

As the largest independent automation engineering specialty organization in Canada, Autopro is uniquely qualified to seamlessly integrate SafeGuard Sentinel into the wide range of existing control systems and industrial information systems which need to be monitored to ensure process plants are operated with visibility into their level of risk.

SafeGuard Sentinel took ACM more than three years to develop, and has been described by industry experts as a long-overdue disruptive technology; a technology that unexpectedly will change the way plants are operated.

ISA offers industry professionals 2011 ISA Directory of Automation

Following the previous success of the ISA Directory of Automation, the International Society of Automation (ISA) has released the 2011 edition of the online industry Directory.

The 2011 version of the ISA Directory of Automation, produced in collaboration with MultiView, contains updated company and product listings, as well as the same features from previous editions.

The premier automation online ISA Directory gives ISA Members and non–members, worldwide a convenient tool to find the most cost-effective and efficient products and services the industry has to offer. Users can perform a basic search by keyword or an advanced search, which utilizes specific company names and geographic locations.

Exclusive agreement combines ACM technology with Invensys solutions expertise to help customers achieve environment & safety excellence

Invensys Operations Management is to be the exclusive provider of a unique process safety decision-support solution from ACM Facility Safety, a division of ACM Automation. Under the terms of a new partnership agreement, Invensys will now offer ACM Facility Safety’s process safety decision-support software, Machu Picchu, to the global process industry.

Designed to work with a plant’s process automation, control and safety systems, the Machu Picchu decision-support tool provides visibility into process risks and combines expert knowledge of the plant’s risk parameters, diagnostic alarms and historical operator observations to monitor the integrity of all safeguards 24x7. It then calculates the level of risk caused by a deviation and provides operators a set of pre-engineered contingency plans or detailed instructions on how to address abnormal situations.
