TE Connectivity’s DRS-100-3P 100A 3-phase energy meters with easy programming, DIN-rail mounting and user-friendly navigation is now available through TTi Europe. The units offer a wide range of energy measurements when importing and exporting energy from energy storage systems (ESS) to the three-phase network where billing is required.
“Energy storage systems are crucial to providing the much-needed flexibility, stability and reliability for the renewable energy and infrastructure of the future,” says Markus Lorenz, Director, Industry Marketing, Industrial EMEA, TTI Inc. “We continue to support new energy development by stocking components solutions like TE Connectivity’s DRS-100-3P energy meters to enable seamless and accurate billing for imported and exported power to the three-phase network.”
The units measure and display the characteristics on single-phase two-wire (1P2W), three-phase three-wire (3P3W) and three-phase four-wire (3P4W) networks. Measuring parameters include voltage (V), current (A), frequency (Hz), power (kW/KVA/KVAr), power factor (PF), and imported, exported and total energy (kWh/kWArh). The units also measure maximum demand current and power over pre-set periods of up to 60 minutes. The energy meters are tamper-proof with a password-protected set-up menu for added security.
The DRS-100-3P energy meters offer the option of an RS485 communication facility for direct connection to SCADA or other communications systems using the Modbus Protocol in remote terminal unit (RTU) mode for remote monitoring and control. The energy meters meet the requirements set forth by the European Union.
