Pressure transmitters introduced!

Viatran has introduced its Model 24A/34A Series to the global marketplace.

The Viatran Model 24A/34A Series is a family of general purpose industrial pressure transmitters, designed for optimal application versatility and reliability. Their rugged construction features all stainless steel housings and wetted parts for high resistance to humidity and corrosion. Customers can choose from among 34 unique standard ranges, with available selections between 3 and 5000 PSI (0.2 and 345 bar), along with choices of gage, sealed gage, absolute and vacuum pressure types. Units are also compact and lightweight (10 oz /283 g), facilitating their ease of installation within space constrained environments.

Model 24A Series pressure transmitters feature a 0-5 Vdc output signal, while the Model 34A series features a 4-20 mA output signal. A nonlinearity specification of ≤±0.25% is standard, with optional improvement to ±0.15% or ±0.10% (BFSL). Choices of electrical connectors include a weather-resistant industry standard DIN 43650 connector, a 6-pin Bendix connector, a direct coupled cable, and others. Isolated shunt calibration, extended temperature performance and zero adjustment are also optional.

In addition, Viatran offers a number of accessories for the Model 24A/34A Series, including a direct mount digital indicator and power supply; mating electrical assembly; and ruggedized connectors and cables. Special configurations, ranges, outputs, formats and connectors are available upon request. Please consult the factory for details.

Typical applications for the Model 24A/34A Series include engine test stands, turbine rockets, diesel engine internal combustion, emissions testing, production test stands, compressors, pumps, stamping presses, rolling mills, die casting, hydraulics, and off-road vehicles.

Submersible level transmitters.

The Model 59Y submersible level transmitter series, designed to provide accurate, continuous liquid level measurements of water and wastewater within industrial and municipal environments has been launchee by Viatran.

This new series features a monolithic (one-piece) design, which measures hydrostatic pressure of compatible media. It is available with a choice of PVC, PP, PVDF or 316L stainless steel material, as well as in submersible ranges from 0-16 inches W.C. to 0-835 feet W.C. Units are fully sealed to meet IP68 ratings. PUR cables are available as standard, with added options for PVC, FEP and TPE types. Dual temperature measurement capabilities are also possible (Model 59T).

Recommended accessories for Model 59Y submersible level transmitters include cable hangers, weights, process meters, and the Model LSP Lightning Surge Protector. The Model LSP offers fast, rugged equipment protection against rapid rising voltage transients and lightning strike effects.
Typical applications for the Viatran Model 59Y Series include liquid level and depth, in-ground and above ground water tanks, water and wastewater, lift stations, irrigation systems, holding ponds, chemical plants, wells, reservoirs and dams, and inventory tank gauging. Units are available to ship from stock with short lead times.

Pressure transmitte demanding environments.

Viatran Corporation has announced the global market introduction of its industry-exclusive Model 386 Flush Tip Pressure Transmitter.

The Viatran Model 386 pressure transmitter features an industry-exclusive flush tip-zero cavity design. This unique configuration eliminates the traditional measurement challenges of pressure transmitter port clogging. It also removes installation torque effects on the output signal. The Model 386 further incorporates a solid stainless steel machined diaphragm (Inconel optional), along with all-welded sealed housings. This combination makes the pressure transmitters virtually impervious to fluid ingress, reducing risk of potential damage to internal electronics. The Model 386 also features an isolated sensor which eliminates the need for adjustments to the pressure transmitter after installation.

Units are available in 13 uniquely configurable standard ranges, covering 0-150 to 0-10K PSIG or PSIS, along with a variety of electrical connections. Depending upon range, the Model 386 can withstand up to 1.5X proof pressure (10K PSI range) and up to 5X burst pressure (or 30K PSI, whichever is less). Additional ranges and models are available upon request. Please consult the factory for details.

Typical applications for the Viatran Model 386 flush tip pressure transmitter include paint finishing systems, automotive and aerospace test stands, in-laboratory R&D, process pressure measurements, adhesives, sludge and slurries, and viscous media measurements.
