The FDT Group™ has announced certification of its first Device Specific DTM based on the latest FDT 3.0 standard supporting the HART protocol from Flowserve Corporation. The newest certified Logix 3820 Series DTM is deployable using their positioners supporting HART 6 / 7, tackling flow control challenges designed for modern IIoT architectures.

FDT DTM certification to the FDT 3.0 specification and webUI is a process whereby rigorous compliance testing using dtmINSPECTOR5 ensures the viability of the states of the DTM; its correct installation, de-installation, and multi-user environment capability; mandatory and optional user interface functionality and robustness; network scanning communication performance and the ability to import and export the topology; and the audit trail capability.

Flowserve’s PMV D3 for modulation control and valve monitoring is certified to ISA100 Wireless™ specification, offering customers reduced operating costs

Flowserve has successfully achieved ISA100 Wireless™ certification for its PMV D3 Wireless Positioner.

The PMV D3 improves operational efficiency by allowing communication to and monitoring of process control/sensor equipment, wherever they are sited, but especially for remotely located valves. It increases the scope of operational awareness in the control room and in the plant when using ISA100 Wireless, which is currently unique in enabling true real-time control. Furthermore, this industry-leading technology reduces the installation and maintenance cost typical of extensive and expensive wiring and marshalling cabinets, while also eliminating operational risks resulting from damaged/ageing wires and corroding connectors.

The unit is the first valve positioner on the market to use the IEC 62734 industrial wireless standard for modulating control and monitoring of valves. This industry-leading technology uses the ISA100 Wireless™ network protocol, enhancing safety via reliability and including features such as dual backbone routers, which provide redundant radio paths, and through user-configurable device behaviors.
