Innovation in the field of automated test systems meets most advanced ISP programming.

Digitaltest has been successfully using the FlashRunner series from SMH Technologies for its in-circuit test applications for many years. Due to its flexibility, its extensive library and it is a user-friendly software wizard, it is particularly suitable for programming multi-PCB panels and complex boards.

Flashing at maximum speed

Condor MTS 505
The SMH Flashrunner from our partner pb tec solutions has long been a reliable part of our applications for in-circuit tests. The newest programming technology makes it possible to use Flashrunner 2.0 in combination with an in-circuit test to program up to sixteen different components at the same time. This makes it ideal for programming multi-PCB panels and highly structured boards with multiple installed devices. A user-friendly operating interface also makes it possible to create a production-ready program in the shortest possible time.

True parallel testing for the panel test
Digitaltest also provides ideal support for panel testing. Parallel testing with our Lambda edition allows two or more assemblies to be tested at the same time. This optimizes the cycle times and shortens the test time. An in-circuit or function test is performed by two or more independent test heads, which reduces the inspection time by the corresponding factor. This applies to multi-panels as well as multiple individual test objects.

By combining the two technologies, Lambda edition and Flashrunner 2.0, multi-panel boards can be tested and programmed in parallel fully independently on Digitaltest test systems. This saves not only production time, but also wait, inspection and handling times. The seamless integration of both environments with respect to hard- and software also makes it the perfect solution for production systems.

Flash Programming on the Fly
Flash programming is also possible with the Condor Flying Probe from Digitaltest. Four movable test heads, the Flying Probes, can be directly programmed and autonomously controlled from above. This not only saves the costs of manufacturing the fixtures, but also the construction times that are necessarily associated with them are obsolete. The FlashRunner 2.0 from SMH Technologies is thus ideally suited for integration into Digitaltest's Condor Flying Probe and offers another way to improve quality while saving time.

Programming PCBs.

Digitaltest has been successfully using the FlashRunner series from SMH Technologies for its in-circuit test applications for many years. The FlashRunner 2.0 from SMH is the result of decades of experience and the most advanced technology in the field of in-system programming (ISP), which makes it possible to program up to 16 different components simultaneously.

Due to its flexibility, it is particularly suitable for programming multi-PCB panels and complex boards, which can be programmed on Digitaltest systems completely independently of each other and -through the Digitaltest Lambda Edition - also tested in parallel.

Until now, the FlashRunner was only used for in-circuit testing, but now flash programming is also possible with the Condor Flying Probe from Digitaltest. Four movable test heads, the flying probes, can be directly programmed and autonomously controlled from above. An additional fixture from below is no longer necessary. This not only saves the costs of manufacturing the fixtures, but also the construction times that are necessarily associated with them are a thing of the past. Moreover, since there are no additional loads due to fixtures and wiring, stable measurements are guaranteed.

The Power Programmer also has an extensive library at its disposal, which means that it can handle most programmable circuits.

The FlashRunner 2.0 from SMH Technologies is thus ideally suited for integration into Digitaltest's Condor Flying Probe and offers another way to improve quality while saving time.

Avoid supply chain disruption.

The cost-effective Eagle test system is particularly suitable for setting up a short-term production line / This system is currently available with a special discount

The Eagle MTS 180  from Digitaltest, is the most economical solution for high volume production. It can be used for a high volume of electronic PCBs as well as for many different types of assemblies. With its 1.000 measurements per second, it is also one of the fastest test systems on the market.

The In-Circuit tester can test up to 3.456 pins and is equipped with a pneumatic press, which also enables the testing of mechanical fixtures. These fixtures can also be built cost-effectively by Digitaltest and can be designed for both double-sided and small pads. The production of expensive vacuum fixtures is therefore not necessary.

The Eagle MTS 180 test system and the mechanical fixtures are available at short term. Digitaltest is currently offering a special COVID-19-discount on this system, which makes it particularly attractive.

Taking the analysis of fault coverage to the next level!

Digitaltest has announced its latest innovative tool, FailSim.

During the past year Digitaltest has continued to push the boundaries of performance, coverage and ease of use to a new level across all their test platforms. Digitaltest’s new developments include the AMU5 which, provides high performance 5th generation measurement capability for all our systems, New Flying Probe capabilities, enhanced CAD Translation and Quality Management Software.

Improving Test Program Quality
The whole idea of performing ICT or Flying Probe Test is to quickly find manufacturing issues while assuring product quality. But how do you ensure the quality of the test program?

Digitaltest’s new tool, FailSim, takes the analysis of fault coverage to the next level. By simulating defects, FailSim can provide the real-world test coverage on a live board. Identifying program, debug or, fixture issues that could be reducing fault coverage.

Human error, BOM changes, incorrect data, version errors can all cause reduction in fault coverage. If just one component value has been measured with the wrong parameters, defects can be missed. Other test conditions such as noise produced from surrounding devices can also cause problems and the test quality can no longer be guaranteed.

With Digitaltest’s new FailSim tool, ICT and Flying Probe users will no longer have this problem.

FailSim verifies that an existing ICT test detects failures on an UUT by simulating component defects (wrong value) by using HW simulation, by placing additional resistors/capacitors in parallel/series to the DUT (Device Under Test) while checking that the actual test statement detects the failure condition.

Customers can now be confident of the final product quality because FailSim assures the test program has the highest fault coverage. This tool in now available at Digitaltest.

Digital Driver/Sensor Board

Digitaltest has introduced the new HYB04 driver/sensor board with 128 pins. Therefore the Digitaltest test systems can now be equipped with twice as many hybrid pins. This is also a major extension for the MTS30 system which is limited to 10 slots. The board supports fast and accurate tests for low voltage applications. The HYB04 supplements the HYB01 and H0YB3 with 10V logic. For special applications the 24V driver/sensor board MDS is available. Our HYB04 is a supplement to the HYB01 or HOYB3 with 10V logic, for special applications we offer also the MDS board with 24 drivers/sensors.

Several key customers are already using the new board.

Key features of the new board:
• 128 hybrid pins per board
• 10 MHz burst rate
• 4M burst memory per board
• 400 mA driver current
• 20mV resolution for driver and sensor
