The expansion of Samtec's SMPM cable-to-board Precision RF connector family to include small-form-factor threaded cable-to-board mated sets has been announced. Featuring a threaded SMPM MIL-STD-348 interface with retractable threaded coupling nut, these new connector assemblies are available immediately in volume and are well suited for use in high-vibration environments such as aerospace and harsh communication applications.
High-vibration environments can exceed the retention capabilities of traditional push-on RF interconnects. Designed with enhanced mechanical strength that provides a secure, robust connection, Samtec’s threaded SMPM cable-to-board mated connector sets include the RF047-A and RF086 millimeter-wave, low-loss cable assembly families handling up to 67 GHz as well as SMPMT threaded, SMPM millimeter-wave board-mount plugs available up to 60 GHz.
