When exchanging information between different participants, communication protocols are the basis that define different framework conditions of data transfer. A distinction is made here between standardized network protocols such as TCI/IP and data transmission protocols such as HDMI® (High Definition Multimedia Interface) or USB® (Universal Serial Bus).
