The measures invoked by governments to control the pandemic’s spread have been significant. Suddenly our age includes: working from home, schools closures, event cancellations, concert cancellations, park closures, physical distancing regulations, etc., the list goes on. Light however is at the end of the tunnel, but the experts are saying there will still be additional upcoming challenges to come.
The Municipal water/wastewater sector has of course been effected by this. One word describes its responsibility to quote Graham Nasby, of Canada's City of Guelph Water Services: "Stability! We keep the water flowing and the toilets flushing. Without the critical infrastructure of the municipal drinking water supply and wastewater treatment, modern society simply cannot function. Our sector has continued to perform admirably in face the COVID-19 pandemic, and for this I am thankful. We are a critical sector and our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Thank you to everyone for all of your ongoing efforts."
It is against this background that the ISA's Water/Wastewater Industry Division (WWID) has published it's newsletter. This is a digest of news and automation information for this ever important sector.
This and other publications and articles maybe found on their regularly updated blog.
