Compact controller integrates visualisation and SCADA.

The Digi Z45 Industrial Controller from Digi International for remote monitoring, edge automation and industrial connectivityhas been added to the portfolio of Bressner Technology. This is a compact and rugged solution for industrial automation, communication and remote management applications. The controller combines PLC-like control functions, SCADA-style visualization and secure data communication in one integrated system.

The web-based Automation Control application enables monitoring and control processes to be configured directly on the controller. Its no-code toolset allows users to quickly implement alarm settings, reports and control logic without conventional programming. As a result, sensor and process data can be processed at the edge and integrated more quickly into existing automation or SCADA environments.

A key focus is remote monitoring and centralized management via Digi Axess. The platform provides insight into network, platform and application data, supports individually configurable dashboards, reports and alarms, and enables notifications via email or SMS. In addition, the Digi Axess app allows mobile management of devices and assets.

For industrial applications, the Digi Z45 offers numerous interfaces and protocols. These include analog and digital inputs and outputs, Modbus RTU and TCP, 10/100 Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, USB, as well as cellular connectivity via LTE with 3G fallback. Dual-SIM failover and automatic carrier provisioning increase availability in distributed or hard-to-access installations.

The controller supports an input voltage of 9 to 24 VDC, operates in a temperature range from -30 °C to 70 °C and features a compact enclosure with a weight of around 0.29 kg. For demanding environments, an RMS version with a rugged NEMA enclosure and IP65/IP66 ratings is also available.

AI Edge Computing.

BOXER-8521AI is now available in Bressner Technology's product portfolio. The BOXER-8521AI combines the flexibility of PoE-PD deployment, with the Google® Edge ™ TPU in a resilient, fanless system that brings AI edge computing to the appropriate deployment site.

Recently awarded the 2021 Taiwan Excellence Award, the BOXER-8521AI focuses on deployment and connectivity. The BOXER-8521AI features a PoE-PD port, allowing the system to be deployed further away from its power source, as well as enable internet connection and remote monitoring of the system over the same single cable, reducing the complexity of installation. By using both the PoE-PD port and the DC input, the hardware can continue to operate even if one of the two power supplies is cut off.

The BOXER-8521AI brings computing power for artificial intelligence to the network edge. The integrated Google Edge TPU system-on-module (SoM) is housed in a shock- and vibration-resistant enclosure. The Google Edge TPU combines the NXP i.MX 8M SoC (Quad Cortex-A53, Cortex-M4F) with the Google Edge TPU coprocessor to deliver speeds of up to 4 TOPS at an energy-efficient 2 TOPS per watt.

Thanks to the Google Edge TPU, developers and users have access to Google's training software suite, AutoML Vision Edge. This software helps developers design and train AI models using Google's cloud services. The model is then exported to the BOXER-8521AI and the Google Edge TPU. The system supports the TensorFlow Lite framework, improving AI model efficiency, system performance, and processing speeds.

The BOXER-8521AI's fanless design keeps out dust and contaminants, and can also operate at temperatures from -5 ° C to 50 ° C without performance loss. The BOXER-8521AI is equipped with one RS-232/485, one HDMI 2.0a, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 interfaces. It also has a 40-pin multi-I / O port for connecting additional sensors and controllers, such as cameras, temperature sensors and more.

Industrial-grade embedded computers.

System house and provider of specialized hardware solutions Bressner Technology includes industrial-grade embedded computers that support NVIDIA® RTX 30 GPUs up to the RTX 3080 in its range

The latest embedded PC Nuvo-8108GC-XL from Neousys Technology has now been added to the Bressner Technology product range. This is an Edge AI GPU computing platform that supports NVIDIA® GPU cards from the RTX 30 series up to the RTX 3080 and via Intel® Xeon® E or Intel® Core ™ processors of the 8th and 9th Generation. In combination, the system offers GPU computing power of up to 29.8 TFLOPS when benchmarking with FP32, paving the way for GPU-accelerated edge computing processes such as autonomous driving, image processing and intelligent video analysis.

In order to accommodate the latest graphics cards of the RTX 30 series in the system, the Nuvo-8108GC-XL has a new type of housing, which additionally supports the thermal design and the patented heat dissipation and thus the best possible performance from the graphics card series and its heterogeneous parallel computing architecture pulls out. In addition, the Nuvo-8108GC-XL has an additional x8 PCIe slot (4 lanes) and an x16 PCIe slot (8 lanes). Any number of expansion cards can be added to supplement the range of functions in order to be able to implement computationally intensive applications. These include B. Video analysis and deep learning vision testing or 4G / 5G communication via M.2 extensions.

As the successor to the Nuvo-8108GC, the central controller of Baidu Apollo 2.0 - an open source platform for autonomous driving - the Nuvo-8108GC-XL also has various interfaces with screwable connections and a wide-range DC input to meet the performance requirements of the RTX 30 graphics cards meet even at high temperatures. With the integrated ignition control, the platform can be used in vehicles and supplied directly from their power grid. In addition, the patented thermal design, the further developed damping bar and the GPU stabilization bar allow interference-free operation under shock and vibration conditions as well as temperature fluctuations.
