High voltage switches

Diversified Technologies provide compact, solid-state high voltage switch modules that provide direct high voltage switching for replacing switch tubes, ion and plasma processing, and large scale electroporation.

Their DTI PowerMod™ Solid-State Switch Modules provide high voltage switching in as little as 50 ns and pulse repetition frequencies up to 30 KHz are avail-able with pulsewidths variable on a pulse-to-pulse basis from 1 µsec to DC. Eliminating transformers and impedance matching, the modules are controlled at ground with a simple magnetically-coupled loop, operate on 110/220 VAC power, and accept pulse commands via fiber optic link to simplify integration.

Featuring >99% switching efficiency, or <50 V drop for a 10 kV, 300 A module, DTI PowerMod™ Solid-State Switch Modules measure 305 x 127 x 76.2 mm and can be stacked for switching up to 500 kV at 5,000 A. Operating fully “on” or fully “off” which greatly eases high voltage management, each module yields >1 million hours predicted reliability per MIL-HDBK-217F.
