Changes in leadership at automation body.

Francisco Díaz Andreu has been elected International President of the International Society of Automation (ISA) for the year 2027, after obtaining the majority support of the organisation's members. His appointment represents an important milestone both personally and institutionally, and consolidates the growing relevance of the Spanish section within the global automation field.

He expressed his satisfaction with this election, emphasising that "it is a great honour to preside over an association as important as ISA." He also pledged to work hard to ensure that the organisation "remains a leader in the world of automation and helps all professionals increase their knowledge in the field and develop more efficient and secure projects."

The newly elected president also emphasised that this appointment represents recognition of the work that ISA Spain has been doing for years: "It is also recognition of the work that ISA Spain has been doing for many years on behalf of professionals in the sector, with a Board of Directors that is always committed."

Founding president of ISA Spain in 1998, Francisco Díaz-Andreu has an extensive professional career in the field of industrial automation and has been the director of the prestigious ISA-Repsol Master's in Industrial Instrumentation for over eight years. He is also a member of theISA Executive Committee from 2023.

Also elected is Francisco José Alférez Canales, to the ISA Executive Committee starting next year, further strengthening Spanish representation on the association's decision-making bodies.
