Latest animation to help furnace operators ensure the safe installation and accurate operation of a borescope.
AMETEK Land's NIR-B LPAR system is a failsafe system designed to automatically remove the borescope camera from a furnace when the temperature of the probe becomes too high. Competent installation is key to the LPAR working correctly in industries that have become increasingly reliant on continuous process data from their thermal imagers.
This new video demonstrates the key elements of the LPAR and how they work together, including the fittings to connect water and air to the PCU and media bar. A Pneumatic Control Unit controls the retraction mechanism and is typically installed around 15m from the furnace, away from the high temperatures.
James Cross, Head of Industry Management said: “This video is highly valuable to anyone looking to install a retraction system on their furnace, whether it’s a glass melt tank or reheat furnace. Our LPAR is a robust, tried and tested design that must be carefully and competently installed for a safe and secure operation. Video guides and animations are a key part of our marketing and training strategy and we’re looking forward to releasing similar content in the coming weeks and months.”
