LVDT extreme reliability for task critical measurements

Although LVDTs are acknowledged for their accuracy and reliability there are some critical measurement tasks where dual redundancy is specified. Typical applications are in the nuclear transport and power generation industries where data signaling is used for control purposes. The operating principle of Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) requires no electrical contact across the transducer position sensing element which for the user of the sensor means clean data, infinite resolution and a very long life.
