Invensys Operations Management's Wonderware technical support organization has been honoured with the 2009 STAR Award for service excellence from the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the industry's largest services association. The Wonderware support organization received the STAR Award for Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Software - SMB.
"At Invensys we recognize that superior support is an essential ingredient in all of our solutions, and providing world-class support requires an uncompromising commitment to excellence," said Phil Couling, global marketing manager for support and services at Invensys Operations Management. "This award is a significant acknowledgement of the service-oriented culture that Invensys and the Wonderware® brand have built to surpass our clients' expectations, even in the most demanding support environment. It also means that our customers can continue to look forward to new innovations as we introduce more support offerings and choices."
The honour recognises Invensys Operations Management for providing technical support in mission-critical environments where system up-time is imperative, typically for enterprise customers. Technical support is an important part of minimising downtime in any business or industrial operation. Since its inception in 1990, the prestigious STAR Awards recognise technology companies that display exceptional leadership, innovation and commitment in service excellence.
"The STAR Awards are recognised throughout the industry as one of the highest honours for service and support organisations," said Stephen Smith, chief financial officer and chief information officer at TSIA. "This award acknowledges that Invensys and its Wonderware support organization have been honoured by its peers for providing world-class support as one of the best in the business."
Invensys Operations Management was presented with the STAR Award for service excellence at the Technology Services World (TSW) conference in Las Vegas last October. TSW is a source of education and peer networking in the services industry and is hosted by TSIA, recently formed by the merger of AFSMI, SSPA and TPSA, the three leading professional associations of the services and support industry.
