Wireless standard certification for 3 modules granted!

Three new products have been released by Yokogawa that have all successfully achieved ISA100 Wireless certification. The ISA100 Wireless certification provides assurance that the devices will interoperate in any ISA100 Wireless compliant network.

FN110 Conformance Cert.
• The FN110 Field Wireless Communication Module includes an ISA100 Wireless protocol stack and is the most recent ISA100 Wireless Compliant stack to be certified.  The high-performance, built-in wireless communication module is compact, lightweight and offers excellent radio sensitivity with low power consumption. The FN110 communication module can be combined with the FN310 or the FN510 to form field wireless devices connectable to an ISA100 Wireless network. View the certification by clicking here.

• The FN310 Field Wireless Multi-protocol Module is a protocol converter that enables wired communication protocols (HART, MODBUS, and more) to be transmitted through ISA100 Wireless networks. The FN310 comes with built in batteries, eliminating the need for cables and providing installation flexibility that would have otherwise been cost prohibitive. • The FN510 Field Wireless Multi-Function Module transmits multiple types of sensor signals from wired devices through ISA100 Wireless networks. The FN510 Multi-Function module supports multiple forms of inputs and outputs, including analog input, digital input, digital output, and pulse input, enabling wired legacy sensors to participate in an ISA100 Wireless network. The FN510 internal battery eliminates the need for cables and provides installation flexibility that would have otherwise been cost prohibitive. View the certification by clicking here.

“These two adaptor modules allow end-users to extend coverage of legacy wired field devices and provide access to stranded data,” remarked Andre Ristaino, Managing Director of ISA100 WCI, “and the FN110 Communication Module is an ingenious all-in-one communication stack/antennae combination which accelerates wireless enablement of existing field devices, an elegant solution that was a key factor in Yokogawa’s 2014 Frost and Sullivan award for Enabling Technology Leadership.”
