Interactive catalogue creator simplifies industrial automation selection!

Plant management professionals are set to receive a productivity boost because COPA-DATA has released a bespoke catalogue creator on its website. The new tool allows users to generate and customise catalogues from a pre-existing list of pages about the company’s industrial automation software package, zenon.

Customised catalogue!
“Industry has been moving increasingly towards viewing real-time, dynamic data," said Martyn Williams, their Managing Director in Britain. "Creating printouts of that data makes it static, the printout is out-of-date seconds after it is printed as the data moves ever onward. It's zenon's paradox of Achilles and the tortoise.”

The creator is targeted at professionals in the energy, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and automotive industries, though its use is by no means restricted to only those sectors. The range of professionals using the tool extends from plant managers and engineering and manufacturing directors to facilities management staff in the built environment.

Once a user has registered to the website, the creator allows them to select existing pages of information about zenon and compile them into a professional catalogue.

This process ensures that the catalogue created will always be relevant to the needs of the creator. It also removes the need for COPA-DATA to send physical catalogues to users that really want digital information and allows customers to download and print their own physical catalogue, reducing waste and waiting times.

The available pages are split into four sections, fact sheets, success stories, whitepapers and partner spotlights. All can be previewed in full before selection so the user knows exactly what they are getting in advance. Once they have decided on the relevant pages and these have been added to the list they can then be reorganised and the whole document previewed before it is finalised.

As well as personalising the items included in the catalogue, the software allows further customisation by letting users add their names and the title of the project they are working on to the front page.

"The only way to combat this problem is to ensure that your data presentation methods move onward with the data. The information in our catalogue creator is always up to date and relevant. Rather than fall behind like Achilles, we are always in the lead."
