Hannover goes to Canada!

For the first time in its company history, Deutsche Messe AG will organize an event in Canada. Hannover Fairs USA, Deutsche Messe AG’s U.S. subsidiary, have established the Canadian Wind Energy Conference Partnership with with the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA), in which Hannover Fairs USA holds a majority share.

From now on the Canadian Wind Energy Conference Partnership will organize the CanWEA Annual Conference and Exhibition, which with 200 exhibitors and approximately 2,000 visitors is Canada’s biggest wind-energy event.

“The Canadian Wind Energy Association is a strong and influential partner,” said Dr. Andreas Gruchow, Member of the Managing Board, Deutsche Messe. "Our long-term goal is to establish our portfolio of energy events worldwide. So far this year we have launched a trade fair in Brazil and started new partnerships in the U.S. and Turkey. The new cooperation in Canada is a perfect match for our activities.”

Last years event!
“Deutsche Messe has a phenomenal track record over many years in producing wind energy conferences and exhibitions,” said Robert Hornung, President of the Canadian Wind Energy Association. “Partnering with such a well-established trade event management organization allows us to enhance the scope and diversity of conference exhibitors and delegates, and increase our reach internationally.”

Canada currently has 7,000 megawatts of installed capacity, and new projects will contribute an additional 1,500 megawatts annually in the coming years. The CanWEA Annual Conference and Exhibition, Canada’s leading wind-energy event, promotes public discussion about policy, communications and business development in the expanding Canadian wind-energy market. Industry leaders participate in and support the event, which will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary from 27 to 29 October 2014 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal in Montreal, Québec.
