Registering significant increases in the number of exhibitors and visitors as well as the amount of display space rented, FA/PA - the Beijing-based Modern Factory/Process Automation Technology and Equipment Show - drew to a successful close on 20 May last.
142 exhibitors there presented their products and solutions for process and production automation on display space measuring 11,000 square meters - up 24 percent. Leading manufacturers appearing at the show included Hyundai, Beckhoff, Phoenix-contact, P+F, Lenze, Oriental, Delta-CIMIC, Elco, Weidmuller, Contrinex, Harting, Kuebler, Hummel, ILME, Staubili, ISaGRAF, Pepperl+Fuchs Automation, Vacon, Pentair, Woehner, 3S, Weinview, KOYO ELECTRONICS, SWITCHLAB, Igus, Degson and Dinkle.
"The great success enjoyed by this year's FA/PA reveals that this international tradeshow possesses considerable potential to expand," reported Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Messe and Managing Director of Hannover Fairs International, adding that his company planned to utilize that potential to the fullest.
"We took over the FA/PA show last year and will now undertake to develop it further, including a clear repositioning that includes a re-branding campaign. Effective immediately, the event will be globally marketed under its new name - `Industrial Automation Beijing' - and will expand to evolve into northern China's flagship process and production automation show. The event's new name and its expansion are a reflection of the programmatic stamp put on it by the Hannover-based 'Industrial Automation' flagship exhibition, in line with that event's other foreign offshoots. This new development underscores the dynamics of our successful foreign tradeshow strategy," Pech concluded.
