Profibus again!

User Conference 2010

PROFIBUS UK tells us that the 7th annual PROFIBUS and PROFINET User Conference will be held from 29-30 June 2010 at Stratford-on-Avon in Warwickshire. Following the successful theme established as a result of six years of positive delegate feedback, this user focused event will feature a comprehensive, multi-stream educational programme that will lead new users through both PROFIBUS and PROFINET, from the basic technology through to its use and application experience in real world industrial and process applications.

The two-day Conference offers a selection of application-oriented technical presentations and hands-on workshop sessions presented by experienced users, technology experts and systems builders. These are people who are training practical PROFIBUS and PROFINET engineers and installers, who are designing and building new systems or system expansions using the technology, or who have installed such systems in their plant, and wish to relate their experience.

The conference will assist companies that own, operate, design, build or maintain manufacturing facilities and process plant, in making the transition from conventional to fieldbus systems as easy (and jargon free) as possible, by covering the latest developments in PROFIBUS, PROFINET and PROFIsafe technology for factory and process automation.

The carefully organised conference and workshop schedule means that you can attend hands-on sessions without having to miss a relevant presentation. The event is supported by a free of charge exhibition, with interactive displays and technology demonstrations from the UK's PROFIBUS Competence Centre, and leading product vendors, trainers, consultants and systems integrators.

To ensure that no-one goes away with unanswered questions, PROFIBUS gives pre-registered delegates the chance to pose their questions in advance of the Conference. In addition, what subject areas are the most important for you in such a conference? While we're still in the process of putting the programme together, there's still a chance to influence the content! This year the schedule has added topics such as energy efficiency, and water saving, but what else would you wish to see covered – submit your suggestions with the registration form, available via the website.
