Danfoss has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Alfagomma, a global manufacturer of hoses and fittings headquartered in Vimercate (I). Alfagomma will become part of the Fluid Conveyance division, a core business within the Danfoss Power Solutions segment, creating a leading global player in fluid conveyance that strengthens the ability to serve customers globally.

Founded in 1956, Alfagomma is a privately owned global manufacturer and distributor of hoses and fittings under the brand names ALFAGOMMA, Dunlop Hiflex, and Argus. The company’s products are used in mobile hydraulics, industrial applications including mining and oil & gas, marine, shipbuilding, and other industries.

Alfagomma has a strong global presence with 28 production and assembly sites, about 4,500 employees, and sales of approximately €600 million.

The acquisition is subject to necessary approvals. It is expected to be fully completed by Q4 2026. Until closing, both companies will continue to operate independently, with a strong focus on business continuity, stability, and delivering the high level of service customers expect.

New head for fluid conveyance division.

Danfoss Power Solutions has appointed Ines E. Sira as the new president of its Fluid Conveyance division. Based at the company’s campus in Eden Prairie, (Minn USA)., Sira will be a key member of the Power Solutions leadership team and will report directly to Eric Alström, president of Danfoss Power Solutions.

“Ines is the type of leader we need to propel Fluid Conveyance into its next chapter,” said Alström. “Her background is a perfect fit both operationally and culturally, and I have no doubt her contributions will drive growth and innovation.”

She has a strong background in business strategy development and operational execution with many years of experience in accelerating growth in developed and emerging markets. Her expertise in merger and acquisition integrations will be an immense benefit to Danfoss.

Sira joins Danfoss from Wesco Distribution Inc., where she held the position of vice president and general manager, Global Safety Business. At Wesco, she was responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution of the business across the company’s three business units, as well as the integration of three acquisitions into an enterprise-level strategy. She also drove initiatives to increase business profitability and end-market penetration. Prior to her role at Wesco, Sira spent nearly 20 years at 3M, where she held various leadership positions.

Sira holds a master’s degree in marketing and finance from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in administration of non-profit organizations from New York University, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and journalism from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.

The Select Catalogue is a complement to Burkert’s main fluid control products catalogue. Covering what is essentially Ireland’s preferred range, it integrates mainstream products in an easy to read format. Burkert’s range of fluid control products is one of the largest and most diverse available, (28,000 types) and this is reflected in the new catalogue.
