Electronics 7 production to be highlighted at July Event.

On May 8, 2020, The Government of the Peoples' Republic of China has issued the guidelines of preventing and controlling the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV Level 3).

The emergency response level of major public health emergencies in Shanghai was adjusted to level 3. The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Industries Association has now published the notice and guidelines of preventing and controlling the epidemic on organizing exhibitions.

With the gradual alleviation of the epidemic, this is good news for the exhibition industry. After continuous communication with exhibitors, visitors, partners and venue counterparts, it is once again confirmed that electronica China, productronica China and LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA will be held on July 3–5, 2020, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) as scheduled.

With the controlling of the epidemic in China, work resumption is taking place across the country and the national economy is believed to be recovered in a rapid and strong pace. The accelerated deployment of 5G, new infrastructure and intelligent manufacturing will promote the overall recovery of the electronics and photonics industries in China. The end market is still full of opportunities and the industry as a whole is expected to rebound in the second quarter or the second half of the year.

From July 3–5, 2020, electronica China and productronica China will continue to involve the vertical industry and related technologies in addition to displaying more diversified products. The shows will provide a comprehensive displaying platform for industry practitioners to present their latest equipment, technologies and application solutions, so as to inspire the industry innovation speed up the development of the whole electronics industry chain.

The health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and partners will continue to be top priority. The relevant policies and regulations will be strictly followed during the shows, the various prevention and controlling security measures will be effectively implemented to ensure the safety and orderliness of the exhibition.

High efficiency user configurable power supplies at Electronica!

Excelsys Technologies are exhibiting at Electronica 2014 in Munich from the 11th to 14th of November. Located in Hall B2, Booth 219, the Excelsys booth is bigger than ever and they are looking forward to meeting existing and new customers at this year’s exhibition.

Dermot Flynn, Sales Director, comments, “Electronica is the perfect place for Excelsys to showcase our most recently launched products and the latest developments to our market leading, user configurable, power supply range.”
On show for the first time for Excelsys will be their latest and most significant product releases to date, including the UltiMod and XSolo products. The UltiMod is designed to offer users unrivalled price/performance and simplify both selection and procurement. The new UltiMod series of power supplies provides up to 12 outputs and 1200W in a compact 1U format, and is the first in its class to carry a 5 year warranty. In addition to the customary EMC and safety agency approvals, UltiMod is also SEMI F47 compliant for use in semiconductor manufacture.

The high efficiency XSolo family of 1U high, ultra-compact single output power supplies is available in 2 package types. Both deliver a market leading convection cooled 504W in an open-frame U-channel form-factor and up to 1008W in an enclosed fan cooled chassis. Both models carry a 5 year warranty and are also SEMI F47 compliant.

Additional products on show will be the recently announced new powerPac models in its popular XF series of high reliability, ruggedized COTS modular power supplies. The new XFN power supply is designed to deliver 1000W at –40°C, which compliments other products in the XF range which operate to -55°C.

Mini connectors

Souriau has a new range of miniature connectors developed from the MIL-DTL-38999: micro38999. This new range offers the best possible performance - in the most compact models on the market. The micro38999 allows size and weight savings of 50% compared to the smallest MIL-DTL38999 Series III units.

For many years, the need for more compact, lighter connection solutions, able to satisfy aeronautic, military and industrial requirements, has been growing. The rapid development of UAVs, sensors and on-board electronics, plus the emergence of composite materials, has driven the industry to reduce the size and weight of all equipment, including connectors.

The micro38999 has been shown to be more compact than other products currently available on the market, while still offering better performance in the field. Souriau was able to meet this challenge head-on, thanks to our knowledge of how materials behave at their operating limits, our mastery of manufacturing processes and our design choices for the D38999 ranges.

The combination of these three skills made it possible to recreate a miniaturized 38999, keeping the same electrical, mechanical and environmental performance as in the standard model. These new ranges will strengthen Souriau´s position as a leader in circular connection solutions.

To give an example of this exceptional performance, look at micro38999´s ability to withstand vibration of 44 Grms at a temperature of 125°C for 8 hours. At this point in time, no other manufacturer has managed to raise their miniature connectors up to this demanding level.

The electrical crimp contacts can be removed, enabling users to wire and unwire connectors directly on site. (The contacts used have a M39029 design: this provides further assurance of a high-quality secure connection.)

In addition to the traditional platings available on the market, all micro38999 connectors can be supplied with non-reflective black Zinc Nickel protection, to satisfy the latest RoHS directives.

This will enable many customers to benefit from a reliable miniature solution for their applications in severe or extreme operating environments.

The micro38999 range is available with three different coupling systems: the threaded 8DA, the bayonet-coupled 8LTA, and the push-pull type 8BA.

The introduction of this new miniature range to the market will open a new page in the history of connection solutions around the world. It will indeed make it possible to transmit just as much - if not more - information under harsh conditions, at the same time helping to reduce the size of equipment.

The micro38999 range will be shown at the Electronica Fair (Munich, 9-12 November), Hall B4 - 543.
