WEG has moved to larger premises as it continues to grow in Britain. As a result, the company will be able to provide customers with improved lead times of motors, drive and control equipment and faster order processing.
Their new 11,895 m2 site in Lakeside, Redditch (Worcs GB), includes a 10,595 m2 warehouse, which is much larger than its previous one. As such, WEG can now hold more stock, enabling it to supply OEMs and engineers more quickly to meet their demands.
“Like many of our customers, we give high priority to efficiency,” says Richard Crook, operations manager at WEG. “With our new facility we can provide better and faster service from order receipt to delivery and assist our customers more quickly with custom modifications or technical problems.”
For example, WEG can now stock products that would previously have been shipped from Brazil, reducing delivery time by up to 8 to 10 weeks. This means it can better serve its customers in Britain while continuing to providing excellent levels of customer service.
“This investment also shows our commitment to growth in the UK and Redditch,” continues Richard. “We value the skilled work force we have here in Worcestershire, so staying in the area was a natural decision for us. WEG UK first opened an office in Redditch in 1997 and now employs 54 people.”
The new facilities also come complete with a refurbishment workshop, training rooms and conference facilities. To learn more about WEG’s energy efficient solutions, email info-uk@weg.net, visit www.weg.net/uk or contact 01527 513800.
